08-03-2026I bought a size 6 for my 17 month old, as she is almost outgrowing her current size 5. Therefore these were slightly large on her when she tried them on, as expected.The laces are elastic and the Velcro strap is velcroed all along the strip so that you can make it as tight or as loose as you’d like. There is also a pull tab on the heel to help put it on.The light up soles are just so much fun. My daughter tried the shoes on and was instantly delighted. They are her first light up shoes and it was a big surprise! She kept stomping her feet and grinning. The lights worked just as expected.I didn’t feel that the shoes appear very comfortable. My daughter is still preverbal so I couldn’t ask her about it, but it doesn’t bend very much and seems quite stiff. I also felt that the material used is on the lower end of mid-quality, but for the price it seems like an okay bargain. I don’t think it’s the kind of shoe that will be durable enough to pass on to a younger sibling though.Lastly, I felt the bottom of the soles lack a good tread for a fairly new walker. I would have liked to see the tread a bit more grippy. However, shoes for this age are almost disposable with how fast they grow, so as long as she likes them, I’m happy with the purchase.
