Experience compact brilliance with the Energizer 1200SL-R Rechargeable LED Flat Flashlight, a slim flashlight that offers powerful brightness in a portable and unique form factor. This conveniently small flashlight has a flat design that’s lightweight and comfortable to carry, with a versatile clip and a magnet for hands-free use or storage. Up to 15X brighter than standard LED technology, it emits up to 1,200 lumens of LED light on Boost mode, with a beam distance of up to 100m. Use the easy-to-operate push buttons to switch between eight different light modes: Area (Low, Medium, High), Spot (Low, Medium, High), Boost, and Strobe. Boost mode will operate at extreme brightness for ~40 seconds before adjusting back to the mode the light was on when Boost was activated. The Energizer 1200SL-R is a sleek metal flashlight made with durable aircraft-grade aluminum. It’s rated IPX4 water-resistant, can withstand drops up to 1m, and features a shatterproof lens. Powered by a lithium-ion battery, this USB-C rechargeable flashlight lasts up to 20 hours on a single charge. As practical as it is versatile, this portable flashlight is ideal for on-the-job or recreational use.
For the discounted price, this is a good deal for a fairly bright flashlight. Being flat is cool, and having two buttons makes it easy to select the flood vs throw LED. The metal body feels well made, no idea how to open it up to see what sort of batteries are in there. USB-C charging is good. The light temperature is very nicely warm-white while not too yellow, I'd guess around 3500K.There are a number of issues with the UI that would bother me if the light was more expensive...1) Most current flashlights adhere to double-click -> boost, and long-press -> moonlight. This one, long pressing invokes the "boost" mode with both LEDs at full power, while double-clicking makes it blink. Not a big deal if this is your only or most used flashlight, but if you have like 20 different ones in the drawer remembering each one is difficult.2) Each LED circles through a med-high-low setting. So if you want to use low, you always have to press at least 3 times. Most flashlights nowadays remember the last used setting, this one does not. There is no very low brightness "moonlight" setting.3) While there are two buttons that should enable us to use both LEDs (spot and flood) concurrently, apart from the "boost" setting this is not possible. If you have one side lit, pressing the other button turns that one off. Not a big deal but somewhat limiting.4) While having a spot and a flood LED is fantastic, the spot-side is rather floody, so it's a bit hard to tell which one is being used. A nice, narrow, well-defined spot would really elevate this to a higher level.5) Long-pressing either button turns on both LEDs at full power, but if you turn that off and want to boost again you only get 3 red flashes from the buttons. This happens independently from the time the boost function was on, that is, even if you have it turned on only one second, you won't be able to get back into boost for some lockout period (not sure, maybe a minute?). This isn't temperature protection, just quirky UI programming.6) Besides the UI issued mentioned, another odd thing is that there is absolutely no user manual. Even a small piece of paper explaining the various settings would be appreciated. The fancy-ish carton does not help. All that said, for the twelve something when discounted this is a good light, for 40 you can do better.
I like the sturdy mostly metal construction. I like the 2 separate on/off buttons for the wide and narrow beams, so I get what I want without having to click through different modes. I like that the not-very-useful burst and strobe modes are hidden behind double-click and long-press actions so I never accidentally see those modes. I like that the flashlight recharges with USB-C, even the same cable and wall charger that I use for my smartphone, which don't work with most flashlights. The light output is very good for a compact flashlight. It isn't super-bright except in burst mode and that only works for half a minute at a time because of overheating issues, so I rarely find it useful in real life. No complaints at the $12 price that I paid to Amazon. 5 stars.
Much larger than it looks, it otherwise a perfect pocket wedge light. Very bright, fast charging, very durable and well constructed.
I use this everyday on my walk with my dog. I use it on the lowest setting. It providers enough light for me to see the sidewalk/road and for cars to see me. It doesn't get hot on this setting and the battery lasts a long time.I did test it on the highest setting and noticed that flashlight getting warm. I did not leave it on for extended period to see how hot it got.
Two types of light Beam, USB type C conector to recharge, strong magnet. Excelent pocket flashlight
Small enough for your pocket strong magnet bright light
For starters - great flashlight: powerful, rechargeable, well made/solid and a variety of lighting modes. Has some very strong magnets too. Now - why don’t they explain ANYWHERE how to activate those 8 different modes. Nothing on the box and no paper inside to explain. In a nutshell - press the “wide” light button to get wide beam (medium, high, low - press to change). Similar press the “narrow” light button to get narrow beam (medium, high, low). Now - double click either button for flashing “strobe” effect and “long press” either button to get the Max power with both wide & narrow beams activated. This only stays on like 40 seconds. Great light.
Low cost EDC option, but gets very hot with a little bit of use so much that it might melt clothing it touches. The 1200 lumens provide bright light, and the rechargeable, compact design makes it easy to carry in my pocket. It’s a solid tool for tactical or everyday use as long as you don't need to have it close to anything.
