I am like an overstimulated candy kid right now with this HOT BEE quality toy train!!! I have ALWAYS wanted a train under my Christmas tree and I always asked Santa but never got one. I used to live in Venezuela when I was kiddo so I thought Santa couldn’t find our house or a train set in Venezuela LOLI LOVE LOVE this excellently constructed HOT BEE train. Everything about it is solid materials. I really thought it would be thin cheap plastic . It’s not! I was pleasantly surprised to open my box and find that the at least the Locomotive part and the Cargo Carriage piece are made of a quality metal alloy . The Coal, Locomotive, Fuel and Cargo parts all have metal wheels. 2 train body parts are plastic yet look nice, durably made and not cheapy-gaudy looking.There are 8 curved tracks and to my surprise, 4 straight tracks included. This is a large area for the train to run! I really thought it would be a small circumference area.Everything works! The steam, the wheels, the fun whistle! It even comes with a mini bottle to fill the water compartment for steam effect.I originally thought I’m going to gift this to an Orphange that I support—but will buy HOT BEES brand new release of their Christmas train set instead for the kids.Everything about this train is functional and fun! Even the plastic train tracks were all well made and none arrived broken.It’s rechargeable! Wireless! The battery being 1000mAh supposed to last up to 3 hrs. I left it running for 1 1/2 hours (I set a 2 hr timer) then I had to leave my house so I turned it off.There’s a coupon right now and totalCost is $41.99 I would GRAB this NOW because we all know how FAST toys sell out in Nov! I always shop in Sep and Oct for holidays because retail is slow after summer (and in Jan & Feb) so non essential items prices are significantly lowered to a Black Friday price! DO NOT wait! This is a great little train for a small kid or even an adult searching for that childhood toy that was once enjoyed.The track is small but I'm sure somewhere additional pieces can be purchased to build your own customized track.The fact that it's rechargeable by USB c port is definitely a plus and will sure save money on batteries.The sounds are clearly audible the lights are easily seen and the steam that comes out the top gives the appearance of a real steam locomotive but the water reservoir is rather small and only holds enough water for 5 to 10 minutes of operation after that the reservoir needs to be refilled or the water heating element will burn out more than likely.The entire train is made of metal so I would like to say it's durable and can stand up to a knock or two.The motor has lots of power to move the train.. when tested I ran it continuously for 20 minutes and more than likely it still had lots of power left and as per the listing it should last approximately 2 hours of continuous operation.It's a great little train that's durable and certainly a value purchase.Very pleased.

This electric train set is a great set for beginner collectors or to add more trains and cars to a current set. The steam engine actually puffs out steam and is a nice heavyweight metal to stay on the tracks. The lights and sounds are nice realistic, touch, and the open cars allow you to add some holiday decor or small toys for more fun. This one is going to be used around the Christmas tree soon and I’m excited to fill it with tiny ornaments and surround it with fake snow. The battery lasted quite a while on just a short charge so fully charged, it should be good to go for a couple of hours. The tracks are a thin plastic, but do come with pieces to secure them together, and they are sturdier than you would expect.This would be a great gift too!

My kids are train lovers and this fits the bill for an affordable toy train. Comparison wise I would put it against the house brand train sets sold at big box stores around the holidays. The track is plastic, the train runs well and also has smoke features and sound features. The only downside vs some others of similar build is the train noises sound like they’re recorded over a phone call or something, as if it’s not a first hand sound bite. They loved assembling it, running it, and the dogs loved laying in the middle of the circle track. I wouldn’t expect longevity out of this train, as it’s similar to others I’ve mentioned with the quality of the cars and connectors especially, but the engine does seem a bit better build, so at least the plastic train cars are so common to find replacements for. I have a video with the sound I’m attempting to post but Amazon keeps having an error, so I will be trying again to post to my review later.

Nice birthday present for my 4 year-old grand baby. The price was right and it is a good quality train set. He enjoys it so much. I am thinking about buying some other ones for my other grand babies.

I got the Hot Bee train set for my nephew. The locomotive’s metal, the lights work, the sounds and smoke effects are really fun without being overdone, and the tracks snap together in a way that seems solid. Watching the train roll around his room is going to be a blast. The only tiny snag I noticed is that the smoke feature needs regular attention (adding water) to keep working well, and sometimes the tracks will separate a bit if the train’s going fast. Still, for what it offers—looks, sounds, lights, motion—it feels like a great-value gift that’s going to deliver a lot of joy. I will likely give it to my nephew for Christmas (after I play a bit LOL)!

Great and fun steam train. It is pretty and reminds us of childhood! It's easy to put the tracks together and I see this not only as a Christmas present for kids but as a collectors item for train enthusiasts. Great price and great quality. Recommended.

Smoke, sound and lights in a nice well make train set. This little train looks great and is lots of fun for my 4 year old grandson. and 38 year old dad. Don't need to worry about batteries as it is rechargeable. The tracks are a little light but locking them in makes them easy to set up and stay in place. Great little train to play with and will keep it running at Christmas for that nostaglia.

This train works well. You charge the second car which contains the battery. Once it's plugged into the engine, it has noise, engine steam (via a refillable water tank) and good motion. See attached video for an idea of the noise level (which is significant).
