Grandson really liked the assortment of lures. So many different pieces great for beginning fisherman.

The box is a lot smaller than I expected, but I wasn't expecting much, considering the price. It is about the size of my hand. Both the pliers and the artificial red worms are pretty dinky. Although I haven't tried them yet, I don't think the red worms will do well on a hook; not even a tiny one. They are so thin that it seems that a hole pierced through them would nearly cut them in half, or make them very fragile. Ironically, the hooks in the kit are quite big. They don't seem appropriate for smaller fish, like pan fish. Otherwise the kit is OK. One might want to add a few #8 hooks in the box for pan fish, though. The pliers will still work to cut line and remove hooks, even though they are small, so I am not too concerned about them. Overall, I feel that there is enough artificial bait to cover different kinds of fish. On top of it, the small box won't take up too much space in my car, so I can keep it stored there and fish on a whim with my ultralight rod whenever the mood strikes me. That is all I wanted, really. This is a very inexpensive kit with enough variety to cover things, so I am still pleased with this purchase.

Whether you're looking for a small tackle kit to throw in your car, travel with or give to a kid that is just getting into fishing this kit is perfect. It has just enough of everything to get you on the water and catching fish. It has pretty much everything you need to catch a speck to bass. There are several variety of worms, including a frog and some small crickets. There are a couple of different color jigs and a couple spinners with treble hooks. Everything in the kit has barbs so you have to choice to remove them if you would like. There is also a small plug that works pretty well on the water, we hooked a small bass with it. There are also two topwater lures. The green and yellow is my favorite but it's a little big around smaller fish. Lastly there are quite a few little accessories, some lead weights, swivels, plastic eyes to put on your line and some attachments for the spinners.We've used the kit a couple times and everything seems to be holding up. It's a great value for what you get and is especially a great value when you have kids getting their lines stuck. You don't have to dive in to get that $20 lure back. If you're looking to get out and do some freshwater fishing for the first time this is a great kit for you. I keep mine in the car and am finding myself pulling over to do some fishing more and more these days.

Box is really small, once you unpack everything it all gets tangled together. Nice stuff but definitely needed to be bigger

Great kit to start with and inspiring for a woman Angler!! I Love this item. No small weights designed for some serious rigging!! I'm ready to hit the water once I marinate the soft lures in some fishy fluids. I am excited to have some Luck on my fishing Journey!!
