I rely on my watch to notify me of messages from my children while I'm on the job. Unfortunately, I'm still getting use to my new watch and I forget to throw my watch on the charger often. Having this little charger has been a lifesaver for me. It has worked so well that I bought a second one for my husband. My needs were simple: must have little to no cord length, fit in my work vest and work alongside my current power bank. I do not have secure access to a plug in, so working with my power bank was a must. This works perfect and takes up far less space, fitting inside the pocket of my power bank case. I don't even need to put it in my work vest, it fits perfectly on my keychain. Now the truth is, I have only tested it with my super fast charging power bank. I have not tested it with a wall unit or on a computer so I can't rate those methods of connection. However, when paired with my power bank, it charges faster than the standard cord that came with my watch.Magnet strength is slightly lower than the cord that came with my watch. It's strong enough to hold it on the charger on an even surface.Cap that covers the c connector was very difficult to remove on one of the two I bought.
The perfect gadget for travel! Fits in purse or pocket. I wish the cap was attached. Could be easy to lose.
Works great, especially for travel. The magnet is strong enough to hold my watch vertically on it too.
Really compact and portable. Handy to bring with you when traveling or moving around to ensure your watch stays charged. The traditional USB-A makes it quite versatile - the only drawback is that it does not rotate a full 90 degrees, and only rotates in one direction and not the other, so the ways it is useful are limited (no issue for most laptops, wall plugs not so much). It also has a USB-C plug, which is great to use as a dongle (not being hard wired makes it more portable - you are already probably carrying a USB-C cable to charge your phone anyways). The only issue here is that it sticks out at an awkward angle on the device. So, if you want it coming out the side of the watch, the USB-A could push against the strap and disconnect the magnetic charging (See pictures)
Perfect for on the go travel. The charger does not charge my Galaxy 7 watch as quickly as the Samsung factory cable but makes up for it in size. The factory charging cable when connected to my Anker 737 power bank shows it is charging at 1.9W and with this at 1.2W. The lower power also means it does not get as warm.Works great to charge the watch when plugged into my Galaxy S22+ as well. I can now wirelessly charge my Galaxy buds from the phone or charge my watch while showering at the gym for a top off. Going to leave the cable at my desk which happens most of the time and use this when I am out an about. I rarely run my watch down to the limit and less likely too now that I always have an extra charger nearby and can provide a quick boost when I think about it.The magnetic connection is maybe a little weaker than the Samsung cable, but the cable is pretty sensitive to movement as well. The cap that comes with it to cover the USB-C connector is a press fit so I could see losing this over time, much like my USB memory sticks with a cap, but losing the cap won't keep it from working.
There is a slot on the side where I can connect to usb c . My new laptop does not have a usb a , only usb c . This watch charger can charge the watch when I connect it to a usb c output from my laptop . Very practical .
Unlike the stock one, the base is not magnetized, and the charging speed according to my wattage meter seems to cap out at one third of the stock charger. For portability however it's impossible to beat. Being plastic, it weighs virtually nothing and either directly plugs into a USB-C port or can have a USB cable plugged into it.If you find your Watch battery dying on the go a lot, then this is a good buy, but otherwise just stick to the stock charger.
The magnet is so weak it's useless especially if you actually wanted to use the USBC that was attached to it. So now you have to get a USBC cable and if you're going to do that you might as well just use the original charger which would be smaller.
Handy to have of you want to cut down on cables. The position of the USB port makes placing a watch 8 finicky depending on the band
Was not entirely impressed by this item. Worked fine, but the magnet in mine definitely was weaker than the OEM cable. While it's useful having a second charger for my watch, it falls off a lot, so I think my watch is charging only to find out it's fallen off, not charged at all. The rotating USB C head is kinda useful but I've been using the regular Samsung cable whenever possible/when not traveling.
The charger is compatible with Galaxy Watch 7. The charging is about 1.5-2 times slower than with the original charger, but the size and the portable form factor is what you buy this thing for. Slow
