I picked up the slip bobbers in the red/wood 2-inch size, and they’ve been great for targeting smaller species like crappie and stocked trout. Despite their small size, they’re surprisingly easy to spot thanks to the bright red top, and they’re sensitive enough to pick up even the lightest taps. Rigging them was simple; the included beads and stoppers work well, and adjusting depth takes just a second. I like how they slide on the line cleanly without catching or snagging. They sit low in the water, which helps reduce resistance and makes the bait presentation more natural. The balsa build requires a little care; they’re lightweight and can dent if you’re rough with them, but they're a solid choice for micro finesse fishing, especially in calm or lightly rippled water. I’ve already ordered a second pack to keep in the tackle box. Highly recommend!
rubber stopper included is nice, pretty easy to set up as well, this is best for smaller fish where you don't need a lot of casting distance since the smaller float means lighter weight.it could be better value but at 20 dollars it's still acceptable as a package.
Like how the line goes through the side of the float. One was broken when it arrived.
Fantastic Slip Bobber, easy to use and see. The slightest bite is detected
These bobbers are great and work just like they're supposed to. They're well made and brightly colored, so they're easy to see on the water. They're very lightweight and float well. the wire guides for the rubber stops make them easy to go on and it's not hard to rig. We haven't caught anything on them yet, but the crappie are quite elusive this year! Looking forward to using them more, we're very happy with them.
These are quality fishing bobbers. If you’re looking for a good wooden bobber, these are an affordable option at a $12 price tag.
These balsa wood slip bobbers took me right back to the basics — in the best way possible. I’ve been using them for targeting crappie and panfish, and they’ve been nothing short of reliable.First off, the buoyancy is spot on — they sit perfectly in the water and are sensitive enough to detect the slightest nibble, but not so light that they drift all over in a breeze. The balsa construction gives them that classic feel and great visibility with the painted tops, even at a distance. They’re well-balanced, and the slip design works smoothly with stop knots. I’ve used them with both mono and braided line and had no issues with hang-ups or awkward casting. Whether I’m float fishing for trout in a stream or suspending bait for walleye in deeper water, they adjust depth easily and perform consistently.Durability is also solid — after several outings and a few bumps against rocks, they’re still holding up well. These are well-made, no-nonsense bobbers that belong in any angler’s kit.If you like precision and that old-school feel with modern performance, these are a win.
I chose these bobbers as I wanted real wood ones to add to my tackle. What I like about them is how light they are and the overall good construction and finish of them.I highly recommend these bobbers to anyone looking to add some good quality, lightweight wooden bobbers to their tackle box!
work well, easy to see in the water
These bobbers have a nice design with bright fluorescent colors, which makes them easy to see in the water especially at dawn and dusk when I like to fish. The package comes with 5 floats, 10 string bobber stops, 24 rubber bobber stops, and about 30 beads so you have everything you will need for many trips. The bobbers and fittings are high quality - but several have small dents - not surprising for balsa wood. This doesn't affect performance, but they look a littel beat up out of the package. Dinged a star for this. Recommend them though.
These are exactly what you would expect as slip bobbers. They come with pre-threaded slipknots which seem to slide off and tie on just fine. No issues with those. Also included are the beads and weights to help get you started as well. Not sure how I feel about the weights as I am used to slip shot but these ones are tied on and you're guaranteed not to lose them off a cast. Not very heavy though so you can expect them not to drop too fast, spooking the fish. All in all, it is all a good set up. The floats seem to be of pretty good quality balsa too and I have not found any defects or paint chipping yet.Thank you for reading my review!
Very nice floats and 2 kinds of of stoppers good deal
Quality made floats, they're well made and had a decent price
