08-03-2026EDITED REVIEW: After having a bit of difficulty, the company quickly reached out with a replacement that works flawlessly.This water filter produces water quickly that tastes great and has less TDS than my tap water!It's small, light and has everything you need to filter water while out in the back country.Would definitely recommend!

08-03-2026Bought it to try and clear up a algie bloom in a fish tank. After a few min of constant running water started to leak from under the power button I think it was.... Why is that even connected to the water chamber area... Junk. But I do appreciate the try. Nothing elese like it at this price point... Would I trust it to filter water for me??? I mean... Better than nothing? But I did try it for the fish and none have died... It also did not last long enough to filter everything out of a 10 gal tank, circulating the water back in.

08-03-2026I am thoroughly impressed with this Yotan portable electric water filtering pump.Advertised flow rate for purified water said it would produce 17 fluid ounces per min. However, my testing exceeded that and I was able to purify a 32 ounce Nalgene bottle in 1 minute 10 seconds. Which I repeated to double check.The weight of the pump and filter unit is 9.9 oz. A very small weight compared to the efficiency. The weight of the loaded carry bag, including everything needed is 12.6 oz.It comes with the carry bag, the pump with filter, two replacement filters, several feet of tubing, an external filter, the charge cord, and instruction manual.It is suggested the filter should be changed every 180 days (6 months), or after 1000 liters! That’s a lot of useful efficiency. The external filter greatly increases the efficiency of the main filter.This is a no brainer and a great value for the cost.

How can I determine if the water is safe to drink? What's the TDS level?Based on EPA secondary drinking water regulations and WHO standards, a TDS level ranging from 01-500ppm is considered optimal and safe. TDS readings of 150-300 ppm still retain essential mineral ions for health.
How often should I replace the filter?The filter cartridge can purify up to 1000 liters before replacement. Use the backwash function to clean it if clogged.
