08-03-2026Does the job for short walks, but can come loose. If you are going for distance or hiking up and down hills, spend more on a better pair, which is what I did later on.

08-03-2026I have purchased a couple of other pairs of crampons that did not stay on my boots when snowblowing. Though maybe not rated for climbing Mount Everest these are the perfect tool when snowblowing on an icy driveway. They fit well and the strap make sure they stay on your feet. They are an excellent value.

08-03-2026They strap on easily and though the rubber doesn’t seem that strong, they made it through the winter and spring. On mornings where the snow had melted some the night before and then frozen again overnight, walking out to the barn could be treacherous. I strapped these on over my snow boots and didn’t slip at all, even pushing a wheelbarrow up a slope. The only problem I have with them is they tend to shift a little and I have to stop and straighten them out occasionally.

08-03-2026I would recommend them, although I was a little bit sceptical at first. A colleague of mine has a pair and on his recommendation and as it was forecast to snow, I ordered them. They arrived the day after it had snowed and when I stepped outside whilst wearing them, I was most surprised to find where I was shuffling along the day before I could now walk on the ice and snow with confidence.
