These floaters have some good weight to them. They're actually made out of solid wood where it has been finished with an epoxy coating. It's very easy to assemble as well by inserting the bulb into the slot within the green cap. After doing so, the cap can be easily screwed back on and you're ready to fish. There is an O-ring that keeps it water sealed, so you don't have to worry about the unit getting damaged. Other than that, it's easy to install on your fishing line. The main thing is to thread it through the unit after installing the light. As for the battery, it's pretty interesting because I've never seen this type of battery before. If it's proprietary, then I'd have a hard time looking for any aftermarket replacements. Overall, these fishing floats work like a charm. It's made very well and will light up perfectly just to notify you if you have a strike which makes these well worth it.
Yes
Lighted stick not that bright. I did catch a 8lb blue cat thou w it. I just need to find brighter glow sticks.
I honestly didn’t expect much from these at first, but they work way better than I thought. Great for catfishing as you can lob it out far from shore since it's so massive, and it's clearly visible even at night with the glowsticks. We use these regularly now and refer to them as our MEGA bobbers. Great value and quality.
Junk! They won't hardly stay afloat and the light compartment isn't even waterproof.
I bought these to use at the river, they are big enough to use for catfish. Made out of wood, they float really well. I like the bright color tops to help see them. They are lighter than I expected so you don't need a real heavy line to use them
Good
I’ve been using these 12″ lighted wooden floats on my catfish outings for over a month, and they’ve made night fishing far more productive—and hassle-free. Here’s what I appreciate:• Brilliant Visibility: The built-in LED stays lit for hours on a single button cell, casting a clear, steady glow that’s easy to spot at distances over 50 ft—even in total darkness.• Balanced, Weighted Design: Each float sits perfectly upright, even with large cut-bait or live shad rigs. No more erratic bobbing that spooks wary catfish.• Durable Construction: The solid wood body resists splintering, and the sealed electronics shrug off splash-ups and light rain.• Easy Assembly: Simply slide your line through the central tube, secure the stop knot, and you’re ready. Swapping batteries is a snap via the twist-off LED cap.• Versatile Sizes: At 8″, 10″, and 12″ lengths, I match float buoyancy to my bait weight and depth—12″ works best for heavy chunks in deep holes, while 8″ is ideal for shallower spots.Bottom LineThese LED catfish floats deliver reliable lighting, stable buoyancy, and rugged build quality. If you’re serious about night fishing big bait, they’re well worth adding to your tackle box.
