Combined with the 4 charger housing, this is the cleanest way I’ve ever sent I charge multiple different devices. Well worth the cost:)
First ImpressionsI genuinely like having the Gitryin Portable Micro USB Charger—it’s convenient, and the retractable cord is a nice touch for keeping things tidy in a travel bag or on the go. The build feels solid, and the integrated USB-C port makes it compatible with a decent range of devices, especially for older Android phones, Kindles, PS4 controllers, and various small gadgets.Size & PortabilityHowever, the biggest thing you’ll notice is the size. Compared to other retractable wall chargers I’ve used, this one is on the chunky side. It’s noticeably bigger than a lot of chargers out there that offer similar—or even better—features. If you’re looking to keep your travel kit as compact as possible, this might feel bulky.Charging Power & FeaturesThe power output maxes out at 40W, and while that’s fine for a lot of everyday devices, it falls short if you need to fast-charge larger gadgets or want the flexibility to top up a laptop. There are definitely smaller retractable chargers that come with a USB-C port and offer 67–100W of charging power—big difference if you carry a newer phone, tablet, or work device that takes advantage of higher wattage. What’s nice is that the cable retracts smoothly and feels sturdy in use, and it does reduce cable clutter overall. But if you’re after maximum speed and flexibility, especially on the USB-C charging front, this model lags behind some of the newer competitors.Everyday UseFor quick, organized charging of older devices, this Gitryin charger gets the job done, and the retractable design is genuinely useful if you’re sick of tangled cords. It’s ideal for those with lots of micro USB gadgets or if you primarily use it for basics. But if you want a true all-in-one charger that’s compact and future-ready, there are smaller options on the market with more power and features for not much more money.Practical and tidy for micro USB and light USB-C charging, but a bit too big and underpowered compared to the latest compact chargers. Good for what it does, but you might outgrow it if your tech is moving toward faster USB-C charging. This charger fits within a greater Gitryin ecosystem of chargers, and fits just perfectly in its modular charging base and strip. For that, it's exactly perfect.Overall, this is a RECOMMENDED USB Charger!
Good quality product
It's actually bigger than Apple's 70W USB-C power adapter (A2743). So, 30% smaller is inaccurate information. It look lot longer to charge MacBook Pro M4 on the USB-C (not the built-in) than Apple's 65W power adapter. It get's hot, so I am not sure of the durability of the built-in cable. Practically, I don't see a benefit of this adapter compared to Apple's A2743 since they weigh the same, you still have to carry a separate USB-C cable to charge a laptop (built-in only support max of 15W).
The charger and the gityrin base (sold separately) is a great “one stop” place for all your charging needs. The ability to have all the cords retractable now makes charging anything easy, quick and neat. No clutter.Exactly what is needed for you desk, shop or truck. I would have like to see the main power link have a DC option for camping and car but has its place on my desk now.Excellent quality and made to last.
I should of bought a longer cord option, but it works.
With five boys and way too many devices, having extra charging options is never a bad thing. This individual plug snaps right into the bigger unit, and it instantly made our setup even more useful. What stood out:* Solid build—feels just like the main unit.* Extra USB-C on the same plug, which is great when every kid “needs” a charge.* Flexible cable that bends without feeling cheap—perfect for little hands.* Swaps in and out of the main charger in seconds. It keeps the whole charging cabinet clean and customizable, which is pretty much a miracle in our house. If you’re already using the main unit, grabbing one of these makes the whole system work better.Final verdict:Small, sturdy, and surprisingly useful. Glad we added it.
Great product. Love the form and function.
