Ahead of its time, ahead of the game is the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5080 WINDFORCE SFF 16G Graphics Cards. Powered by NVIDIA's new RTX architecture, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 5080 WINDFORCE SFF 16G brings stunning visuals, amazingly fast frame rates, and AI acceleration to games and creative applications with its enhanced RT Cores and Tensor Cores, along with a staggering 16 GB of GDDR7 memory.
upgraded from a 3070 and its insane. Looks nice too, the performance difference is night and day.
This card is 2.5x to 3x faster with Pytorch projects than my 4070 or 5060 Ti. It's probably the tensor cores. This thing is so powerful I'm not sure if I could stand having two in my house. But I am saving up to buy one more. It used to take 2-5 minutes to generate 30 frames and make 1 second of AI video. Now it takes about a minute. You can't get lazy around this thing because it completes the work about as fast as you can think it up. I can't imagine what life is like for those with a 4090 or 5090. Installation was straightforward and there was plenty of space for the card to fit into. It comes with some bracing hardware because I finally got a card big enough to need guide-wires and flying buttresses. I wish I had bought this card 6 months ago because it has been waiting all this time. It's refreshing to watch the 5080 compete with FramePack against the other 3 GPUs. It just has more to work with than the others so it can't help but to do everything more quickly. Next up - time to put Blender Cycles in its place... after 7 years.
Edit looks like they actually went a step further THERE IS A SILENT MODE BIOS SWITCH IN TOO OF CARD!!!! And now I don’t even wanna use it in sued to the whine Lmfaoo Pavlov was on to something anyways I don’t care about the whine like I did before I think I was still in sticker I sent it I can feel how I want attitude but nah it’s a good card does what I expect and should last till I can get a new generation 7090 series if I want or 8090 here hoping these cards get a nice run before vram capacity goes to 16gb minHave had the card but three days and noticed very loud noise possibly referred to as coil whine for this price the cards and unit as a whole should be quality tested this doesn’t feel like it was worth the money just because I’d check if I was going to sell a 999 plus gpu for quality issues and I’m not the only one from my few seconds googling I hope my unit is not a bad unit or damaged at the very least 2 days later its is good so far need to test i was on 12 gb 3060 before
You have to use the adapter if you don't have a brand new high end power supply. There are no lights or confirmation that the video card is even running so you have to load with your fingers crossed. It's decent in speed but nothing special. If I could buy again I would go for an Asus tuff
Excellent GPU, idles at 40 and temps no higher that 67 while gaming
Excelent
Performs flawlessly, quietly, runs cool, and leveled up my gaming experience.
This 5080 works well and it is fast. I upgraded from a 3080 RTX and I'm happy I did. If you can get this card under 1K I think it's worth it if you have a 30 series card. If you already have a 40 series card then skip it. The price is too high for the amount of uplift you get from 40 series.
