Initial build quality appears good. Assembly video helpful.
I don’t write many reviews but I wanted to let people know the quality of this product. This wall anchor is very high quality and easy to install. Just make sure you anchor to a stud. It’s very easy to move your straps different locations. Would not hesitate recommending this to folks.
Purchased this Muscle-KIK product for inside my house so I could work out in air conditioner rather than the summer Arizona Heat in the Garage. I looked at several products including what my Physical Therapist office was using and this appeared to be the best solution.Available in just one (1) rail or two (2) rails, available in a brushed chrome or brushed black color, I went with the two (2) 40 inch rails in black due to my room. Installation was easy but caution must be exercised to insure that you are fastening five (5) each fasteners into the center of a stud, preferably in a load bearing wall rather than a partition wall. The height of installation of one (1) or both rails is user preference based on their height what they plan tyo attach to the rail and how it is used. The same goes with the hook orientation, up or down. In my case, at 6' tall, I set mine up mostly for the waist and shoulder exercises along with my TRX system. One complaint however, which can be a product improvement by the manufacturer or purchase if you have the right drill press and drill buts is that you can not butt both rails up together because the end rail fastener through holes are not counter sunk like the rest of them, This prohibits the ability to move the hooks from one rail to another.. So you musty currently use the end cap as shown until modified. After you have decided on the mounting location, use a marker of some kind to mark the hole locations for your fasteners. Is used an 1/8" drill bit for pilot holes. I would not use larger or smaller than 3/64" diameter drill bit because too much torch on the screw head could snap the head of the screw off. So use a low torque driver to install the fasteners.Enjoy....In additional thing you might need is a seperate single loop strap to attach to the hooks with an end that will accept carabiners if you are using some attachments for additional security.
This is heavy duty! Not only was the price comparable or cheaper (WAY CHEAPER) than other option, but this anchor system design is beautiful and heavy duty. It is way more durable than you would think from the pictures. It comes with everything you need to install it. And the slides lock into place and slide easily when needed. The only thing I would want is for the anchors to slide from one bar to the other, but they do not.
So far so good! The brackets appear well made and extremely sturdy (a common word in my reviews, I prioritize something that will last and not be wonky.) Lots of mouthing hardware is included. I appreciate that instead of just mounting, say 3 anchors - ankles, waist, shoulders - I can mount two of these and have a huge range of anchor points tailored to the specific exercise.
Well-Designed, well-made, & thoughtfully-packaged: We purchased one pair of these Muscle Kik Wall Anchor Systems for use with our TRX Grip It & Heavy-Duty Resistance Bands, and I can't even begin to tell you how impressed we are. Material & Construction quality appears to be top-notch. Mounting accessories (screws, etc.) are the same. Even the packaging was impressive, with the mounting hardware being stored in a heavy-gauge zipped bag (as opposed to the typical flimsy plastic seen from all others that inevitably bursts in transit). Thanks to the massive amount of adjustability, one set of Muscle-Kik Mounts with a good set of high-quality resistance bands (and maybe a suspension trainer!) is more than enough for most folks' use. Thanks to the quality, I could see potential uses in an office, home, or gym as these are a great foundation for functional strength training, physical therapy, & core engagement during interval training (via bands/suspension equipment purchased separately). The low ceiling in our basement prevented us from installing a full-size dual cable-cross/Free Motion machine (which--by the way--typically go for $5k-$12k), but three sets of these (two shoulder-to-elbow-width and a third for wide resistance in exercises like a chest fly) combined with high quality resistance bands entirely replaced the need for bulky equipment at <10% of the total cost. Added benefit: 100% of the floor space is maintained by getting rid of the larger weight equipment.Top tips: Be sure you are mounting these correctly (into the studs!) as you will only be as safe as your mounting. Also: if you are mounting using alternative hardware not provided by the seller, be sure to check the actual strength specifications of the hardware in your specific mounting surface. Typical Tapcon Masonry screws--for example--only offer a max 220 lb pull-out resistance when correctly mounted in lightweight CMU construction (and typically you don't want to exert force on a screw that is anything close to its maximum).I especially appreciated the note in the packaging requesting an "honest review" and stating that you are a family-owned business. My honest review: 5 Stars. Well-done, Muscle-Kik!
Absolutely love this set up! Quick and easy to adjust, simple to install and very sturdy. I use it with a minimum of 50 lb resistance bands and being properly bolted into a stud, it doesn’t even make so much as a creek when pulling on it hard! Looks really nice too. The black finish is top notch and there are no defects whatsoever. I purchased this initially for physical therapy due to a shoulder injury and it’s an absolute staple in my home gym at this point. It is definitely not the cheapest compared to others but as the old adage goes, buy once, cry once. Trust me, spend the extra chunk of change on this if you are really in the market. It is totally worth it.
Great quality & Looks very sleek. The hooks move very easy and stay in place. Good addition to our home gym.
