08-03-2026Out of the box, the 2nd eye down from the tip looks to be about 30° off line from the other eye guides. QC needs to do a better job so that Shakespeare isn’t sending defective products to loyal paying customers.

08-03-2026Have one of these in red myself and its my favorite ice fishing rod. Bought this one for my wife and she loves it. Very sensitive yet big enough to hold up to the occasional northern pike we catch pan fishing. The included reel is pretty good also.

08-03-2026Lost my last ugly stick down the hole ice fishing. Very rugged roads and the reel works well in the winter. It is sensitive to bites and easy to bring in larger fish on a 4 lb line. Love it.
