So far works great!
Early on, I'm pleased with HP 2025 Elite 805. I dislike Windows 11, big time.
The mini pc is everything that I could have hoped for! It is the first new computer that I have purchased in 20 (if not 25) years. It is fast and quiet with capacities and specs that are over the top. The add on DVD player that I had to purchase is almost as large as the mini PC! The only thing that I was disappointed in was the 3.5 speaker receptacle. After a couple of months it developed a short or something and was causing all kinds of static and noises. I decided to just use one of the USB plugs for the audio and purchased a USB to 3.5mm connector. I believe that I am getting better sound from the USB than when the 3.5mm receptacle was working. All in all the HP 2025 Elite 805 Mini is a great PC. I hated to drop it down to a 4 star but you know what they say: "Parts in Parts".
Great performance out of a small package
Works as advertised. I was concerned that it would come BIOS locked since it's not sold directly by HP, but I added a note asking them to make sure it's not locked before sending. Using it to run a server and have had no troubles with it.
Easy to set up, works perfectly!
Ordered two May 20. On September 15, not even four months later, one of them died. The hard drive failed. Upon looking into this, there are two big issues. These ARE NOT HP originals. They DO NOT come with a one year warranty. The HP warranty started in February, well before purchase. The memory and hard drive are aftermarket, installed by the seller. The HP warranty is assigned to them. The listing says it comes with a one year manufacturer warranty. It does not say anything about having aftermarket components installed.I reached out to the seller. They state they offer a one year "Seller's Warranty" but that information is not in the listing and was not provided in the box the computers came in. The only remedy is to ship it to some unknown company that has misleading, if not fraudulent, information in its product description. The name of the seller does not match the name of the company that supposedly will fix this broken computer. An HP warranty includes on site repair. The "seller's warranty" does not and I am not sending in a computer to some random company.Had I known this information (had the product listing been accurate), I would not have purchased these.BUYER BE AWARE
Nice machine. I got the 32GB/1TB model. BIOS is not password protected. I'm going to use it for a home lab. I only have one complaint and the only reason I'm only giving three stars: The RAM is 2666MHz, not 3200MHz. And the specs listed on this page clearly say that the RAM is supposed to be 3200MHz. It's not a deal breaker but it's annoying that what you get is not exactly what's listed on the page. And I messed around in the BIOS and as far as I can tell there's no way to change the RAM speed.
