This laptop chews through modern AAA titles without breaking a sweat. I’m seeing 100+ FPS on high to ultra settings in titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and Call of Duty MW3, and it stays consistent even during long sessions. MSI did a solid job with thermals—kick on Cooler Boost and it stays cool enough without thermal throttling. The 165Hz display really helps the experience feel fluid in competitive titles.Stability is another strong point. No weird crashes, no blue screens, no random freezes—just reliable, smooth performance. And coming from a brand like MSI, that doesn’t surprise me. I’ve used their graphics cards and motherboards in my builds for years, and they’ve always delivered. MSI overall I’ve had a good experience with their products That same engineering shows up in this laptop.That said, there are some things to be aware of. Battery life isn’t great—maybe 4 hours max under light use, and much less if you’re doing anything demanding. For some this laptop could be heavy for a 15-inch laptop, but others will say its not. I didn’t pick this laptop for its light weight design. It was about performance and portability. The chassis is plastic but metal feel and pretty basic clean design, though it feels solid enough. The RGB keyboard looks great, but the number pad layout is cramped and takes getting used to.Out of the box, expect sometime to setup— Windows updates, and drivers, etc.Bottom line: if you’re a gamer who prioritizes performance and value, this is a fantastic machine for the price. You’re getting high-end GPU and CPU power without paying $2K+. It's not a luxury laptop—it’s a focused, performance-driven tool for gaming and heavy workloads. Highly recommend for experienced users who want desktop-like power in a mobile form.

This a good laptop, just needs to be updated to work well. Also the fan can get loud, also a cooling pad will help. The speakers are not good at all, for some reason the charger gets very hot.But overall its a good laptop.

Fans are pretty loud, but I dont really care. Heat builds up but it hasn't overheated my guess is why the fans are loud. Good product good quality, speed is phenomenal, keys aren't bad n quiet clicks. Like soft yet noticeable enough to registeryou have typed. Weight is light to me but I lift so may be heavy to some. Battery life is short about 3 hours if heavy use.

Pros: it actually runs amazingly it even runs big games like TLOU and RDR2 wellCons: Fan is loud. It gets really hot sometimes.. Must kept charging at all time for the best performanceHonestly the cons aren’t even the big of a deal it’s a very well gaming laptop let alone laptop in general. It’s fast and it has a lot of storage I have so many dumb games I can just play whenever. 100% recommend if you want to play huge games with a lower budget.

This laptop surprised me, i was impressed with how well it handles some of my games. I currently have like four games installed, two of which are meant to be multiplayer based. It runs smoothly even when setting it up. Storage space is great for the amount of games you could have and manage. Sounds work, no problem there as well as the screen still looks amazing, but that’s just my personal opinion. I also appreciate the quality control on the battery life, even when I mostly play with it plugged in, it doesn’t feel wrong and the heat is barely noticeable. Even when using a cooling pad after a game session, I feel some heat but not much. I’d say this is a good starting gaming laptop for those looking to pc gaming and not on the heavy expensive side.

Had it for 2 days. Thought it was going to be great, I was so excited to get a few games and have a nice laptop for school.Well, day 2 rolls around, I've only downloaded steam and Gog at this point. Get notification that I need to download Netfx3 to run anythingDoes not download over data after multiple attempts. Workarounds to download the file from LOCAL folders already present within the laptop don't work. All troubleshooting and workarounds with customer support and chat gpt dont work.I've had this for less than 48 hours and it is unusable.I pay for a gigabit of wifi, I dont have poor service, it is 100% this laptop or its software.Came preloaded with nearly 300GB of bloatware including NORTON and others that slowed the CPU severely.I had a cheap Walmart brand $100 laptop for school for 7 years and never had this many issues with it aside from it running slow.This is not worth the money or headache and I threw out the packaging thinking that I would love this computer so now I'm probably stuck with a $1600 paper weight.BUYER BEWARE

My Three Cents:I just bought this MSI Katana for my cousin, it's a birthday gift. Me and him were looking at laptops for weeks and this one had the best specs for the price. My cousin is a big gamer, so he needed something strong.The screen is amazing. Its QHD and 165Hz, so the games look super clear and smooth. He installed his favorite game and it run perfect. The RTX 5060 graphic card must be really good. Also its very fast with the i7 processor and 16GB of ram. He says there's no lag at all.The 1TB SSD is also a big plus, he has so many games and it's nice to have all that space. The RGB keyboard is a cool touch, he loves changing the colors. Wifi 6E is fast too for his online games.I'm just really happy with this purchase. Seeing how happy my cousin is, I know I made the right choice. If your looking for a gaming laptop for someone, this one is a really good deal. I definately recommend it.
