Fan looked as described. Easy to use, simple to charge. Battery life is a little shortcut my liking. The cooling plate does get cold, but if using the device for a while, it starts getting hot. Four speed option is a plus. Sits nicely on the shoulders.

Purchased for my husband who is a union worker and works outside allOver the country. Worked in Florida during the heat wave this summer and this was a life saver for him. Also worked in the Midwest in 100+ temps and he swears by this. I think most of his coworkers asked me for the link to buy themselves one! The neck price is literally like a little A/C directly touching their neck and they can’t stop talking about it. It is super cold to The touch after being on for only a short time. Great product!! Might buy another few to have for backups!

These neck fans are great. Keeps you cool while doing outdoor chores or at ballgame during the summer and early fall. Great for mowing the yard!! Holds a charge for a long time.

Recently, I had purchased one of those small, square type fan units that you can either clip to your hat, shirt, or wear on a lanyard around your neck. The problem with those is that they drain super fast and if you are working, they wither flop around everywhere or you just can't get the air to go exactly where you need it co be able to cool you down properly. I saw this one and thought I would give it a try. OMG...This came with 90% charge in it already. It was fully charged and ready to go, using the included USBC charger, within 15 minutes. The display shows you the charge percentage, the 3 different levels of air to choose from and the cooling plate. I had NO IDEA about the cooling plate, but I will tell you, it's an absolute lifesaver when you're burning up. The plate feels like someone has put an ice cube right on the back of your neck and it feels SO good! This fan is super comfortable to wear and stays in place perfectly while working. I work in a woodshop and I am always maneuvering around and have no issues with this staying in place. I am able to use this fan for several hours on one charge and still have 20-30% left by the end of the night. One thing I was worried about was due to this having a cooling element inside, warming up the plastic and actually overheating with prolonged use. But, as long as the exhaust (located on the very back of the unit) is not blocked, it doesn't heat up at all. I have long hair, so I have to be sure to put my hair up in a clip as to not block the exhaust vent. Fan level 1 and 2 barely have any noise level at all. Level 3, the noise is more noticeable, but puts out a crazy amount of air. Also, you do have the option of turning the air off completely and using the cooling plate only. Weight wise, you don't even notice it when it's on your neck. This is a must have for those looking for a little relief. I will 100% be bringing this with me on my next flight!

These work pretty well ordered one for each person in my family and went on a trip however, if it’s really hot, it basically just blows hot air on you, but it was better than no air!

I've owned several other neck fans with cooling plates before this one -- my last had a cooling plate on each side -- but so far this is my favorite, for a number of reasons:1) This is the first such product I've used that gives you independent control of cooling and fan "speeds." Yes, here you can select the amount of cooling the metal plate delivers, low, medium, or high, PLUS five fan speeds. Supposedly, the product will give you up to 3.75 hours of cooling at maximum cooling and fan settings, but based on my experience today (mid-eighties temperature, high humidity, using C2 and F3 settings, 45 minutes of use= less than 20% discharge), I think that estimate may be optimistic.2) This is the first such product I've tried where the air blowing up at your face actually gets cooled by the cooling plate (with previous models, the cooling plates did their thing as advertised, but the air blowing was pretty much ambient temperature). And this particular model blows more air than previous units, especially at medium and higher speeds.3) This model is available in a variety of fun colors. I must confess, however, that I chose the white fan just because it was a few bucks cheaper than the fancier colors at the time I bought it.4) I'm not 100% sure about this, but this model may use a battery technology OTHER than Lithium Ion, like the older NiCad or NiMH types. I didn't see any Li-Ion warning labels on the shipping package, and the product page copy makes no reference to Li-Ion, which most companies would tout. But guess what? Lithium ion batteries in seasonal products like this fan are problematic. In fact, even though I charged my last cooling collar every few months during the winter and fall, the unit's Li-Ion battery still died on me when I pulled it out of mothballs this summer, after just a year on the job. If I am correct that THIS unit does NOT use Li-Ion batteries, that could turn out to be a good thing.5) The manufacturer offers great customer service. I contacted them the day after I received my fan to ask how to change the Celsius temperature reading on the LED window to Fahrenheit. They told me Amazon must have sent me a C unit by accident (I live in NYC) and offered to send me an F unit at NO charge, letting me keep the first fan as well. The truth is, both C and F models work just as well, but it's still nice to confirm what temp the cooling plates are delivering in numbers I recognize.And did I mention that this cooling collar does all this for a fraction of the price that the fancy Torras models cost?As I said, on a day with heat in the eighties and high humidity, this collar keeps me cool at setting C2 and F3 in the shade. On ninety-degree days, C3 and F4 or F5 would likely be my choice. And then there are our MTA's hot subway platforms: this cooling collar is truly a Godsend when you're waiting for a train.So at this moment in time, I give this "collar air conditioner" my highest recommendation for anyone trying to beat the summer heat, but I will update this review if I encounter any difficulties...

The cold plate gets hot. Not burning the skin temperatures, but definitely does not cool. Tried to use it a few times, cools for about 1 minute, then starts getting warmer quickly.Fan part works tho.Return window closed before I remembered it or would have been returned.
