Fishing Pole Combo Set, 6.89ft Fishing Rod and Reel Combo, Carbon Fiber Telescopic Fishing Rod Kit with Spinning Reel, Fishing Pliers, Lip Gripper, Line, Lures, Carrier Bag for Beginner Angler
I’ve used this rod 3 times. The third time, the crank handle literally fell off and fell into the lake. Definitely don’t trust the durability with this rod. Yes, I made sure it was on tight prior to using.
This kit was pretty embarrassing. For a telescopic fishing rod, when I opened it up and extended it at first I thought it was a toy. It feels like cheap plastic tubes with line guides attached and the rod tip was a green piece that reminded me of gas powered weed trimmer string with a line guide tip on the end. It was very flimsy and got so stuck it wouldn't collapse back in no matter what I tried.I still set it all up with the included fishing line. I couldn't read the label but I would guess a 5lb mono. The reel itself is decent enough, but I wouldn't expect it to hang with full time use.The included tackle was cheap bits and bobs. The rubber worms and tails were not cleaned after molding and had extra bits of rubber everywhere I had to trim up until I finally gave up. The fishing pliers were pretty useless and the fish lip gripper fell apart when the pin came undone the first time I played with it.Basically, the rod and tackle were all junk. The tools were cheap metal and wouldn't do the job or even last through setup before even trying to go fishing. For the price, there are definitely better options out there. I recommend anything else... I would like to tell you how it worked on the river, but it broke before I could even try and get it to the water. So if you want a reliable keep in the car telescopic fishing kit in a nice package... this isn't that.Happy fishing
Works really well and the compact design is beyond handy
I got this to have on hand in case I want to go fishing. I realize it's not a high-end setup, but for as little as I'll be using it, it will be just fine. I'll need to add some basics to it (bobbers, etc.) but to me that's part of the fun. This might be good for a youngster graduating from a very simple rod and reel. This fits under the seat in my car, and it will be great for days when I decide to play hookey and go fishing spur of the moment. I live right by Lake Erie, so the temptation is constant. With this little setup, I can have a line in the water in minutes.
My husband loves to fish! And he’s a bigger in fishing so he bought this fishing pole! It’s perfect for beginners! And it’s so easy to transport!
I'm not a big fisher, but I wanted something easy to pack away for impromptu adventures. This is a nice kit for a very casual, light day of fishing in a pond for small fish. The rod extends easily, and overall feels solid enough to pull some crappie, baby bass, or catfish. Something that packs light like this can't be expected to last like pro gear, but this is perfect for throwing in your kayak or canoe.
This combo set is a great value for beginners, casual anglers or those that simply want a compact setup. The telescopic rod feels surprisingly sturdy for something so lightweight, and it collapses down small enough to fit in a backpack. I mainly got this to use in my kayak. The carbon fiber construction gives it a nice balance of flexibility and strength, and the included reel is smooth enough for most situations. The 145-piece accessory kit includes hooks, lures, swivels, weights, and even a decent little tackle box. It’s not pro-grade gear, but it’s more than enough to get started or to keep as a backup kit in the car. The included line is usable, though I swapped it out for my preferred line. The carrying case is compact and keeps everything organized, but it’s not padded, so I wouldn’t toss it around too much. Also, the reel seat and guides could be a bit more refined, there’s some play in the fittings that might not hold up to heavy use over time. Overall, it’s a solid all-in-one kit for the price. Not perfect, but definitely good enough to get someone hooked on fishing.
Decent beginner set but you can't use stronger line with this pole as it can't handle it. Quality is ok... can't go wrong with the price though.
