This 320W USB C charging station has significantly streamlined my charging setup. With its 10 ports, it effectively handles multiple devices simultaneously, from laptops and tablets to phones and accessories. I've had my MacBook Pro, phone, iPad, and headphones all charging at the same time, and everything charges quickly and efficiently without any noticeable slowdowns across the ports. The GaN III technology used here is definitely a plus; it keeps the unit surprisingly compact and relatively cool, especially considering the substantial power output. This has been great for reducing desktop clutter and freeing up wall outlets. It's a reliable and efficient hub that's made managing my various gadgets much simpler, whether for a workstation or a family charging spot. If you're looking to consolidate your chargers and power a lot of devices efficiently, this is a solid choice.
I just got back from a trip where I was constantly having to cycle what devices were on chargers because I had just a couple USB-C charging blocks with me and I saw a Lon Seidman video about a pluggable 6 port USB-C charging hub, but at over $70 without a charging block, it was too much for my blood. That is where this Benifit 8 port charger comes in. I liked immediately that it gave me four USB-Cs since most of my devices run on USB C, and the charging cord that connects to the wall is a standard two prong plug, so it is easy to plug in anywhere and to stretch to your nightstand. It says 65w in the description, but since they have the 320w on the photo I decided to stress test it. As I describe in the video, it can easily charge one device at 65w, or if you plug a second device into the third or fourth USB-C spot it can charge one device at that rate. However, when you plug in two devices in the two faster USB-C ports it will start reducing the wattage to share between the two devices. In doing a stress test with two Lenovo PCs, a MacBook, Apple Watch, and iPhone it was able to charge all at the same time, though charging times were quite slow (the MacBook was running at 15 watts in one of the faster ports). This is not surprising, just think of this as a 65 watt charger that will need to divide up that power across multiple devices if you plug in more than one. It is not going to be the fastest USB-C charger, but 65 watts is still solid, and as far as being able to charge a large number of devices overnight, I think this is going to be great. If you need higher wattage they do have more expensive units that appear that they will do that, but I think for most people this will be more than sufficient. The casing is rather small, as you can see in the video, smaller than my hand. It is plastic and it does get quite hot when charging multiple devices, but it stays cool when I am charging just one laptop at 65 watts. The casing is perhaps a bit cheap, I immediately heard a crack the very first time I plugged the charging cable in and after that heard a small sound when I shake it like I broke a small piece of plastic off inside, but it still works fine. The weight is very light, it will be an easy addition to my computer bag and it does not take up much space or add much bulk. It is compatible with all USB-A and USB-C charging devices, but again, don't expect it to charge faster than 65 watts. There are other devices for that. If you just need to charge up a bunch of things and are not in a rush, though, I think this is a tremendous option!
Using as a USB-A and C power supply for a number of small devices requiring 5V @ ≈1A each as opposed to a outlet strip hogging group of power adapters. Little waste heat which [usually] indicates a quality, long-lasting power supply. It is rattle-proof; a requirement for my application. While there is no provision for mounting the large faces are flat allowing simple mounting brackets as shown in the photo.
You know, I was real skeptical of this thing.Like REALLY skeptical. Why?Well, when you pick it up, it feels "cheap" is the best word I can describe. It sounds like it's hollow-- and I'm used to big ol' charging blocks that have some weight to em. Why? Because you need a transformer to change the house's AC120v and convert it to 320W DC output. And transformers are heavy. You ever plug something in to the wall and it has a big ol brick in between the wall plug and the part that goes into your device? That's a transformer. or, if you plug the big block directly into the wall? THAT'S a transformer. You'll notice they get bigger and heavier the more energy the thing needs. Well, this thing? Has a straight plug at the wall, and when you hold it, it FEELS light. This GaN technology is crazy man, because this thing is so damn fast charging my devices it feels like I'm stealing from the power company, straight up. The design makes it so it has to be, i suppose, because there's so many ports that unless you've got them on 2 sides of the device, you're going to have some negative space its just what it is. It doesn't get hot, either. At least not for me, and I've had 4 devices all rapid charging plugged into it. So, maybe more makes it hot, but, for my use? I didn't see any exorbitant heat coming from it.
