08-03-2026As I couldn’t ask the sender in a private message I will like to ask if this filter it is working just from time to time and not continuously filtering the water. It stays off for 2 min and then for about 10 sec I can hear a sound that is filtering. Is it normal?

Well worth the money and has a professional, streamlined look. There’s an incredible amount space for mechanical and biological filtration. I’m coming from the Fluval 301 and 401 series and this is a serious upgrade that I won’t go back from.

We thought it was food-related, but changing his diet didn’t help. He was getting worse everyday. After some searches online, we tore this filter apart and discovered the horrifying truth:• The plastic inside was melted• The internal components were rusting• The entire unit was degrading into the water my turtle was living inThis wasn’t normal wear. This was a defective product that should never have been sold.My turtle was essentially being poisoned from a filter we thought was safe. We’ve had to deal with vet visits, medication, and a terrified animal who is struggling to function everyday now.If you value the life of your reptile, do NOT buy this filter. This is the kind of product that slips through safety checks and ends up harming living creatures.
