08-03-2026This is a surprising nice little fishing tackle box, I wasnt sure what to expect from a amazon ordered tackle. I had friends tell me to never buy the “cheap stuff”, go with brand names. I don’t really know why I decided to try this tackle box, maybe I wanted a beginner setup just to get into the hobby.Well, I am happy with my purchase, especially for the price. My biggest criticism is the plastic covers on the inside of the box, they seem a bit flimsy and sometimes hooks or other stuff shifts around and ends up in another area, not necessarily a big deal, but I wish it did hold up better than that.The actual case itself seems very sturdy, like very durable. I wonder if it would hold up if I accidentally dropped it, seems like it would hold up well.The hooks and weights seem fine actually, I already caught 3 smaller saltwater fish with them and they held up pretty well. Already caught a Yellowfin Croaker, Lizardfish and what could have been a baby striped bass. The weight is a little hefty, but thats mostly because of the weights, the size is small and compact, you can pretty much carry this anywhere.I’m still pretty new to fishing, so Im no where near being professional or knowing much about fishing gear, however I go along with value and effectiveness and so far this tackle has helped me nab a few fishes, even other fishermen asked me how I caught those fish when no one else was.So, I definitely recommend this little tackle if you’re just starting out in the sport like I am and just need the most basic essentials to get you started out. Im happy I bought this box, it’s been my go to for pretty much everything and I am having fun learning and just being successful at catching something.
