Runs large

I believe I was expecting more of a subtle pin-stripe pattern, but this was giving me more Penguin from Batman when it arrived. HAHA. It looked and felt more “costume-y” to me, and the price reflected that as well. The fit was okay but not completely great; it’s tough having to purchase a suit when your top doesn’t match the bottom sizing, so this unfortunately was a no-go for me and I would love the ability to purchase as separate pieces for many of these suits on Amazon.

When it comes to suiting, I'm very particular. Which translates to expensive. I like them tailored, sophisticated and classic, and one that makes me feel like I can walk into a Board Room and slay all day. I can't imagine any suit below $500 that can do that. To my surprise, I would be comfortable wearing this suit to any executive meetings, job interviews or any situation that requires a polished look. First the jacket fits my petite frame without appearing boxy or overly loose. The shoulder hits just right and the sleeves do not go past my knuckles. I appreciate that it is lined and comes with true pockets. Because I am a little under 5ft 5in, the hem runs long but due to its tailored fit, does not overwhelm my petite frame. The lapels lay just right and in fact, nothing puckers, a dead give away for cheap suits.Then there's the trousers. It hits me slightly below the ankles and looks as tailored as the jacket. This is a preference thing, but I feel like the elastic waist band belongs on casual pants, not one for suiting. This was not shown in any of the photos. This means that I will only be wearing the trousers with the jacket, and not by itself. Secondly, I had ordered an XS because the size chart indicated a US 0-2 which is the size I normally wear but I recommend that you go by the waist size shown on the chart which I should have. The XS equates to a 25 inch waist which is very snug. I can squeeze into a 26/27 easily so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it does not shrink after dry-cleaning. If I had gone up a size, the pants might fit much better but the jacket may not be quite as tailored which kept it from being a five star suit in my case. But overall, this is great value for a suiting that looks so far elevated than any of its peers in this price point. You will look Park Avenue posh but without the posh price tag.
