The Vale is even better than I hoped! I wanted a travel bag that was unobtrusive and not too large, yet could hold maps, a guidebook, water bottle, phone, iPad mini, charging cables, snack, wallet, and the day's smaller purchases. The Vale fits the bill and more -- plus looks great too. This bag holds far more than I expected. It is light yet incredibly durable; even cute -- and surprisingly classy in a modern way. No bulk! Sleek enough to roll up or lie flat in luggage or a tote, my bag is carbon black with a cheerful bright lime green lining that makes it easy to find items deep inside, even in poor lighting. It offers LOTS of invisible and unobtrusive security features! These include integral RFID blocking, slash-proof bottom and strap, a security cable to allow locking to a chair, and clever zipper loops that if utilized, help deter would-be pickpockets. The two straps can be reconfigured so the Vale can be carried as a shoulder or crossbody bag, or as a tote. It can be flapped over if not carrying much, or the straps easily reconfigured in seconds to convert it to full size.Like the other reviewers, I can't say enough good things about this incredibly versatile bag, which works for everyday as well as travel. The Vale offers so many features -- it must be used to fully appreciate. It is absolutely perfect and I love-love-love it!
Felt very secure traveling around with this bag. Lots of zips and locks and the fold-over top made it feel even more secure. 10/10
It's beautiful and stylish, with a lot of pockets, in time delivery as I have a short trip ahead.
Purchased this for a trip to Vienna this summer for two main reasons:1. To use as a personal size item on the flights (Austrian Airlines has some pretty stringent size requirements)2. For use during my trip. The versatility of the smaller, fold-over size, or the larger tote size was very convenient. Easily held multiple items including a travel size umbrella and water bottle along with the “usual” purse items. The quality of construction, design and safety features makes this purchase well worth the reasonable price. I felt very comfortable keeping my passport, credit cards and cash with me. I can also see using this as a day-to-day purse, not just for travel.
Loved this bag as soon as I opened the package. Pros: color choices, lighter color fabric inside so you can find stuff, easy to fit essentials and, when unfolded, can fit water bottle, has slash-proof bag/strap. The Vale is unique in that it has RFID protection on both sides of the bag so I felt safe storing my passport in one of the external pockets. The number of pockets and ability to secure external pockets was perfect. You could easily use this as a personal size bag for under the seat, but I used a larger backpack and fit the Vale (folded in half) into the backpack’s laptop sleeve. The Vale is casual but looks nice enough to take into a restaurant.Cons: No external water bottle pocket, not a deal breaker for me - I brought a reusable bottle that didn’t sweat so it didn’t matter if I put it inside the bag. No padding on the crossbody strap, so I bought a set of 2 removable strap pads from Amazon (advertised for backpacks and guitar straps) and put one on the crossbody strap. I used my smallest compression cube to fit a sweater and rain jacket in the Vale, which made it heavy, so in addition to wearing it crossbody, I would sometimes give that shoulder a rest by using the short strap on my other shoulder at the same time. The small red clasp that secures the main zipper was a little bit hard to open, so I used a small Nite Ize hook to connect it to the zipper. One of the photos shows the Soliel (left), the Vale, and the Geo (right) for size comparison. I loved the Soleil but it looked overwhelmingly huge on me when full, so I returned it. Kept the Geo to use as an everyday bag.The Vale was an excellent bag to take on a recent summer trip to England; it’s the most versatile travel bag that gives peace of mind - highly recommend!
I was searching for a versatile bag that would look like a proper handbag while walking around a city but practical enough to be worn on a hike. This bag serves that purpose with its crossbody strap & durable fabric making it hike-worthy but with the short handle and simple styling it can be carried like a purse. It fit a 10" iPad (tablet), smart phone (and their cords), a large water bottle, as well as all the usual things (wallet, keys, small bag of toiletries) making this spacious enough for a small carry on (although no room for clothing). It's comforting to be in a crowded marketplace and know that no-one will be able to cut the strap and grab my bag. I didn't use the safety locks, although it would be desirable for some people. I like having the exterior pockets for my phone or other items you want instant access to.After a month of tossing it around it still looks like new and it will be going on many more adventure trips with me.
Love this bag. It’s so cute. Just missing blocking clip on the top zipper.
Ordered the black and grey and love the lime green interior. I ordered this for a trip 8 months ago and love it so much I haven’t transitioned back to my other purse. It’s water resistant, easy to clean, wears well and I love the added security measures.
This is an awesome cross-body bag for traveling. I went through Spain with this and never felt my items at risk. There is a way to push the zipper through a “lock” so it can’t be unzipped easily. It has an inside pocket that zips and 2 others for casual stuff. Hook it long or short depending on doing on what you are carrying. It does accomodate an iPad easily.
I love this Sherpanie Vale Anti-Theft Crossbody. Why? It is quite light weight, yet has lots of well organized space (besides the main zipper there are 3 other spacious zippered sections perfect for storing just about anything). There is a terrific phone leash - great for people like me who like to clip my phone into my purse so it can't fall out or be taken. The anti-theft feature that allows me to clip the purse onto a table or chair is easy to use & very handy, and the entire look is stylish. I suspect this will rapidly become my every day bag -- also because it is lighter than a leather purse of similar size would be. I highly recommend it.
Love this bag. It looks stylish and has enough interior and exterior pockets to make it easy to organize. Love the clip for the keys. The size is perfect as it is roomy but not a large abyss where you loose everything.
デザインも良く、A4サイズのファイルも余裕で入りました。荷物をたくさん入れるのでバッグが軽くて良かったです。ベルトの接続部がプラスチックの様でしたので金具でしたら破損の心配がないと思います。
