I love these. My cabin is on a pretty weedy lake so I love being able to rig these for just above the weedline. Hooks are pretty decent out of the box, but wouldn't hurt from a quick sharpening. Size options are good and this rig proves to be quite functional. Overall a good value for the money!
These drop shots are pretty great. I normally tie my drop shots, but I saw these and figured I'd give them a shot. They work just as good as my tied drop shots, and I luckily don't lose my bait as frequently. Another pro is the swivel. My bait can move around more freely without causing tangles in my line. The hooks themselves are decent quality. I personally think that this is a decent value for the price, and it definitely saves a lot of time out on the lake.
This is a small plastic box of 30 Swivel Drop Shot Hooks. The ones I ordered are about one inch in length. These are nicely made hooks. They are black in color, made of high carbon steel. According to the description they are suitable for both fresh and saltwater. These hooks are very sharp. The eye of each hook is trapped below the eye of the upper part of the swivel. The lower part of the swivel has an elongated eye that narrows toward the bottom. The swivel has a barrel shaped middle section and the swivel rotates freely.
I hate tying drop shots as I without fail always get the hook facing down the wrong way. This solves that! Easy to tie on and then jam a line on the crimped tie on the bottom connected to a dropshot wait and your good to go.
Well made and very ingenious on how they attach to your line
Great for drop riggs. I fish a lot of brackish waters and most fish staight down beliw the boat. Open your reel, let the weight hit the bottom and you are ready to go. I fish two hooks at a time and these work well without tangleing up.
I bought this because I have arthritis in my hands, so I have trouble tieing knots. With this hook I have 1 less knot to tie.The only real proble with it is the eye that you tie the line to on the top is not closed enough and the line can come out as you are tieing it.I fish 3 to 4 days a week minimum. So I I go thru a lot of hooks. I would get these again because it saves me time when tieing up a new drop shot rig.
Hooks smaller than I thought they should be per size description
