08-03-2026This is a excellent winter coat. It has a hard shell exterior to keep you dry, and a nice soft faux-fur insulation for warmth. The insulation is limited to the torso and hood; not in the arms. The arms just have an polyester inner lining. The coat is heavy-duty but not too bulky. It's gonna be too hot for cool weather but is great for the cold. The detachable hood is handy for snow days. It comes with a button/velcro wind flap to keep out the windchill.Size 10-12 is what we normally wear, so that is what I ordered, but it is a little big. Room to grow—will help it last longer. Comes with two, zippered side pockets and two chest pockets, one inside and one out. The side pockets are outside the insulation, okay for caring gloves, but not for keeping your hands warm. The zippers zip smoothly. The inner pocket is velcro.It seems pretty sturdy and should last until it is too small. Machine washable, but says to hang dry. Looks good. The blue color is a nice, bright blue. Overall I'm impressed with the quality of this winter coat. It was going for 50 dollars at the time of this review and is a good value for the money.

08-03-2026So far, the coat seems like it will do a good job, but have yet to test out in our cold, Wisconsin winters. I'll update my review if need be, but it seems very good durability and quality. All seams appeared sewn all the way and the zipper didn't get stuck at all when we were testing it out/trying it on. The hood and body part of the jacket are a very soft, warm faux-fur type of material, but it does not extend into the arms. The jacket that our son outgrew was much bulkier than this one; it seems like he should have more mobility with this one when playing outside in the cold and/or snow. He typically wears his size, a 7, but we got him and 8-9 so there's some room to grow. Unless he has an outrageous growth spurt we should get a few winters out of this. Plus, he really likes it.

08-03-2026My 6year old son needed a new coat for the winter and there wasn't many options for in store purchases at decent prices. I found a few online that he might like and he chose this one. It keeps him warm and dry. We like that it zips and has buttons. Roomy enough that he is able to wear a hoodie under the coat without it feeling too bulky. I like that it has reflective markers on the coat and hood. The hood is nice with enough room to wear a hat and hood at the same time. I would definitely order this one again.
