08-03-2026These socks are so cozy and they work great with my hiking boots. I wear them all the time. Not too heavy, but very warm. I haven't seen any shrinkage and I just wash them with everything else.

08-03-2026My fiance is an outdoorsy guy. He will only purchase his gear from REI. He had a last minute trip and needed new hiking socks for canoe/hiking trip. He wanted something that was quality but also not super expensive so that he could switch his socks frequently. He loved these wool socks.. He said they dried almost immediately after getting wet and they kept his feet dry while he was on land. They were warm and the perfect height on his calf. He will only buy these socks now.

08-03-2026So I have been wearing these all autumn and a good chunk of the winter too. I love wearing them with my sandals (Xero) as you can see. And yes I wear socks with sandals as I have EDS and I don't want the bottom of my feet to rub on the sandal. Weird I know....But these are just perfect. They are super soft! They must be one of the most softest wool socks I have owned. They fit my feet perfectly too! The heel part is at the heel where it should be if you know what I mean. Some sock brands do not fit me well but these do.They have enough elastic to hold them up but in nicer weather I like to fold them down as you see in the photos. So I turn the longer socks into just above my ankle. I like to get sun on my legs.So far they seem very durable. I have had these since autumn. And I was wearing them pretty steadily.My feet often sweat so that is why I like wool socks. For breathability. I HATE cotton!!I do wish these were available in a much thicker heavier sock for the dead of winter. Like now. Its artic blast outside! Below 0 F. These socks, while wool, are not thick enough to handle that at all.Now on Thursday when I went to the horse ranch, I did combine these with a thicker wool sock to help keep my feet warm. I used these as the inner sock. The thicker sock was on the outside. I think it was 18 F that day. Feet were nice and warm!They should make more colors too. I do like various colors to go with my outfits.I have a bunch of cotton socks and have come to hate them these days. But I love these wool ones!I have also told people about these already!
