Truck was a best gift for 6 yr old boy! Loved lights, sounds, mechanic lift, pretend trash cards, mirrors/doors opening, horn on steering wheel. 31/2 yr old loved it too.

This absolutely funnest toy is rated for 3-6 year olds, but I got it for my recently-turned-2-year-old grandson, who has had a fixation on any and all things with motors and wheels or wings since shortly after he was born . We were able to play with it straight out of the box as it came with batteries. The truck cab was cast metal while the truck body was plastic, but it was not flimsy at all. The tires seemed to be made of real rubber. The trash truck’s horn beeps when predding the steering wheel and there are super duper lights and siren (??) noises as well. The truck lifts the trash receptacle over the cab and empties it into the truck bed like a real trash truck, which thrilled my grandson (over and over and over again ha!). When he’s older I know he’ll appreciate the rest of the accessories to the truck - 4 color-coded trash cans for trash as well as cards with garbage sorting activities. This truck wasn’t cheap, but what is these days? I do think it was well worth the price. I think it will hold up under hours/days/weeks/months/years of play, at least until he decides he’d rather play sports ⚽️ or build a rocket to the moon My grandson gives it the T5 seal of approval, the highest in his rating system. T1 toys are given a “thank you Gigi” but never played with, while T3 toys are played with once or twice and dumped in the back of the playroom. T4 toys are when he acts excited but any and everything can get his attention away from it - the dog, Spider-Man fruit snacks, his sister’s Barbie, the list is almost endless. But this trash truck will keep his attention, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds”. Oh wait, that’s the post office, but it applies to my grandson as well when he has a T5 toy in his hot little hands ;)

One of the coolest garbage/recycling toy truck I’ve ever gotten. We’ve had so much fun. It also comes with good sized trash bins. And an oversized square trash bin like the ones behind businesses. The bigger ones. The electric lift works great and the back dump is manual. They’re also little fake “trash/food/recycables” in this set. No assembly required really. Great value. If your kid loves trash trucks etc, this is a great starter set !

This 12'' electric garbage truck toy set with lights, sounds, and included dumpster is solidly built for a kids’ toy — the plastic is thick enough to handle rough play, and the wheels roll smoothly without falling off after a few days. For the price, it offers really decent value; you get a big friction-powered truck, working lights, multiple garbage-themed sound effects, a liftable dumpster arm, and a little trash bin that actually tips into the back. It does exactly what a garbage truck toy should: the kids press the buttons, hear the realistic engine revs, beeping, and compacting noises, watch the lights flash, and spend hours “collecting” toys around the house. The design is bright green with cute details and stickers that look good (though they might peel over time with heavy use).

Our toddler son is a huge lover of trash trucks, so when I saw this die cast metal trash truck model, I knew I wanted to get it for him. Out of the box, it’s a nice looking truck and of substantial size. Part of it is die cast, but there are several areas that are made of plastic. I’m unsure how long he would be able to play with it without breaking one of the plastic parts in normal play so durability is questionable, mostly worried about the front forks. It does function as described, being able to move the dumpster up and into the back trash bay. As other reviewers have noted, the siren sound doesn’t make much sense, would have been better with simply a trash truck beeping noise or something more fitting for this particular toy. This is definitely a 3+ toy, maybe even older children than that in order to move things independently without any assistance and have them work easily. Being that it was advertised as metal die cast, the pricing seemed fair. But given the plastic on moving parts, it does seem priced a little high for the item received. I did appreciate that it came with batteries included for immediate play right out of the box. Overall, a good trash truck toy to add to our son’s collection.

This garbage truck is very realistic and fun to play with. However, it is made quite small and the dumpsters are small enough to get lost and become a choking hazard. The music is piercing and repetitive so I wish it was silent. The lights are fun, though. The truck functions well and has motion like a real garbage truck. Not super durable since my young children have already broken a piece of the arm off from dropping it. Just okay value for money.
