08-03-2026For this 79-year-old, the printer was easy to install. The copies are crisp, as they have always been with this brand of printer. The new (to me) process of filling the EcoTank with ink was uncomplicated. You might ask your local Staples if they recycle the ink bottles. I use a scanner often, and found that the program installed on this model expedites the process considerably over my former Epson printer.. I have found Epson products to be dependable and highly recommend them for home and small business use.

08-03-2026Blistering fast. Great Quality prints. Great printer for home or small business office. We bought this to replace our Epson ET-4550, which we used for 8 to 10 years until it finally gave up the ghost after pretty hard use. This printer is more compact and elegant. It seems sturdy and was easy to set up. The printer connected to our wi-fi seemingly on its own. I'm a little mystified by how that happened. I should note that a small non-profit I work with has an ET-3850 that I ordered to fit its budget. This is much sturdier and easier to work with than that machine. The extra price for the 4000 series over the 3000 series is well worth it.

08-03-2026After running an Artisian 730 for years this is the perfect upgrade for the church office. Setup was a breeze and connecting ti the network super easy. If you don’t have a super tank printer yet. This! Your upgrade. Same Epson quality. Sturdy build and small footprint. I find no flaws in this machine. Bravo!! Epson.

08-03-2026I PERSONALLY purchased this printer ... it wasn't a gift or influencer item for a positive review! This is my honest personal opinion as of set-up on 11/4/2025!Bought this printer to replace an HP that we had, the second in fact, that had a problem with one of the print heads getting un-fixably gummed up! We needed the functionality of our old printer and this Epson has it! Print, Copy, Scan, & Fax!!!First, in case you are of the same old-school as I am ... you do NOT need a smart phone or need to download the app to set-up this printer! Nobody in my immediate family has a smart phone and we were okay setting this up!!!The printer came well packed in its box. Be diligent and carefully peel off all the blue tape. Follow the instructions and take your time! IF you choose to use your Wi-Fi to connect your printer make sure you know your network's name so you can choose it and your network password so you can enter it when asked. I did NOT connect to my PC via a USB cable so if that is the way you're going I can't comment on that.The printer does come with bottles of ink. I encountered ZERO mess, they can only fit one way and once they are filling the tank they auto stop when the tank is full ... do NOT squeeze or press the bottles one you hear them filling the tank. You should have a little ink left in the bottles but after the printer primes itself the rest can be put in to top it off again.After you run through all the printer set-up routines you will need to go to EPSON's site, register your printer and you can download an installer file that will install all the drivers and programs you will need to use and maintain your printer. Trust me ... it isn't as scary as it sounds ... I am a dinosaur and I was able to do this!!! Just give yourself a little Time & Grace!!!The printer is quiet and the color is spot on! As of right now I have no complaints with any of the features ... yes, I have used them all at this point! The speed varies, obviously depending on what you are printing. If you don't know that it will print a B&W text document faster than a photo ... I don't know what to tell ya! ;-)I hope that you try this printer and love it!!! Good Luck with your purchase! Installation was easy as long as you get all the pieces of blue tape that are on it for safe shipping (I forgot one and it complained until I got it - the software knew exactly where it was, I just kept overlooking it). Loading the ink was easy and no mess whatsoever; a clever bit of engineering there.It took me a goodly while to get it on my WiFi network, and the connection to the IOS app “Epson Smart Panel” wouldn’t work at all, so I went to bed and the next morning it had connected itself during the night and was happy. That said, the “Epson Smart Panel” app on IOS is very cleverly designed and quite useful. Also, Apple AirPrint works super well.There is a Linux printer driver that is excellent; you can download a Fedora version or a Ubuntu/Mint version. I use Linux Mint and installation was easy; it gives Linux full control of the printer.My old Epson printer had two paper trays, one for letter-size and one for photo paper. I miss that, I have to open it up, remove the letter size, insert the photo size then tell the machine what I’ve done. But really, not a big deal.
