Well made. Smaller than I thought they would be but in the hands of a child they are the perfect size. Cute, useful and creative for imagination play.

This is an absolutely adorable wooden kids food playset. It is very high quality and there are multiple food items that you can use the included cleaver-type knife (also wooden) to cut through the hook and loop (velcro) tape and also easily restrict together. Appreciate the attention to detail as the pieces that can be cut are also painted on the inside and even have colours that would match the natural inside of the food, such as the apple having a light yellow interior, or the red onion having "layers" depicted and in a lighter purple the inside, or the kiwi interior being a green with the familiar kiwi sections and black seeds while the outside is a nice dark brown.The paint job on the outside of many of the fruits and vegetables are also quite thoughtful, for example, the carrot is not just orange but there are actual lines to depicted the ridges that you would see on a real carrot. The paint itself and finishing is smooth and the colors are a beautiful and vibrant.There are some fruit that cannot be cut open and just simply played with but those are also very nice. The carrot, pear, and apple all have stems that are attached which adds to the detail and are very cute. There is a little dab of clear glue that you can see where the stems are attached and it feels well secured and attached, but of course, supervision is always necessary - in addition to checking for any damage or looseness of small parts before/after every play session.There are drinks too - like a bottle of orange juice as well as a carton of milk. As well as fish and eggs. The egg carton feels like a real egg carton, just smaller! There are 6 eggs inside - 3 brown and 3 white. The white ones can be opened, revealing a yellow yolk and white whites. The larger of the fish is painted beautifully on both sides, but the two smaller fish (that fit inside their own fish "tin") are only painted in yellow on both sides, but the little fins and face are only painted on one side - this seems like a miss for something that is obviously so well thought out and adorable - to not finish the fish fin colour and face painting on both sides. This is very minor as the set is very beautifully made, just a small note for improvement to the sellers in an otherwise beautiful toy.Finally the shopping bag that it comes with is also really nicely made. It's from a heavier weight cotton canvas material and is stitched nicely with seamed edges. It's not the typical nonwoven cloth material that you get for reusable grocery bags for 50 cents, it's actually a nicer quality and a great functional touch to keep all the parts together after play. It might even be our kiddo's favourite part of play, bagging all the groceries and checking out haha.Great set! All in all, a wonderful addition to your play area that is made from actual wood instead of plastic (if you're into a more natural feeling aesthetic) for your playroom. Highly recommend!

This set is great! It came just as described with all the food and even a storage bag. It is very good quality and sturdy, perfect for any kid interested in play kitchens and play food. A lot of the foods are held together by velcro making it very easy to 'cut' with the included pretend knife. The kids in my home absolutely love it and I will be getting more sets to give to friends!

This play food set is adorable and has been a big hit. The colors are really cute and there is a nice mix of pieces that can be “cut” apart and others that stay whole. The little eggs and the sardine tin are especially cute. It also comes with a bag that is good quality and makes cleanup easy. Overall a really sweet toy set for pretend play.

I love wooden toys so much. For me personally I find wooden toys durable and smooth and just the overall quality way better than plastic. My kiddos love this set. It is great for pretend play in the toy kitchen, grocery store role playing , cash register etc… so ment great uses. The items are well made and the paint on them is great as well, they have not been scratched or chipped at. Comes with multiple pieces and a grocery bag too.

My granddaughter loves this! She was exited to open it! I learned from her… she understood the concept of cutting the pretend veggies with a pretend knife. Really a cute adjunct for her new standing tower by the kitchen counter. Very high quality and will be used for a long time. Worth the price.

I wanted to get my daughter something she could share with her classmates during playtime that could stand up to a lot of wear and tear. She loves play food so I figured that’s probably something her fellow classmates would like too.Most play food sets are cheap plastic though, so I intentionally looked for wood — something with a Montessori feel — and found this set.It’s stunning and clever! The sardine can opens with a lid held in place by a magnet. The Velcro in the eggs is yellow so it looks like yolk. Then other pieces, like the pear for example, are just really beautifully carved.Plus! There is a high quality burlap bag that holds all the food for easy carrying and storage.As you can see with the little arms and hands, she absolutely loved it and got excited when she “cut” the apple in half with the wooden knife on the cutting board.This is truly a stunning kit. If you’re looking for non-plastic play food that is not an eyesore and will stand up over time, this is an exceptional option.
