08-03-2026it breaks, but not an issue, i use 30 lb lines and when i get snagged i only loose a hook, it dont break on the fish.

08-03-2026Perfect for surf perch. Unexpectedly, while fishing for surf perch, I caught a 27 1/2inch striped bass. The hook held up to the fight. I thought the hook would break or get bent straight, but, nothing.The hook is very strong and I definitely would recommend this product (hook) to anyone who loves fishing. Tight-Lines

08-03-2026These hooks are strong, sharp and have a little longer shaft length and I like all those qualities. Unfortunately, the baitholder slices are too shallow to hold a bait. The shank of the hook is almost smooth. I put a Berkely 1" pinched crawler on one of these hooks and the crawler would slide off after just a few casts. I switched to an Eagle Claw 186A-6 baitholder and the pinched crawler stayed in place.
