The idea of this is sound, but in practice, I don’t really think it’s effective for people who do serious workouts. I can say it does fold up for easy storage and portability, but it is still a bit larger than I had initially expected when folded up. Something to consider if you plan on getting this to travel with. For the most part, it seems pretty sturdily made. It’s also easy to put together. Now, for the usage, I tried it, I’m not much of a workout fan so I didn’t care much for it. My spouse and son also tried it. They are both in fairly decent shape, spouse is former military and has a smart mouth, so he’s familiar with how to do pushups and can do them for long periods of time. He said he’d rather just do them on his own without the use of the board. The peg positions can be a little confusing at first, but he eventually figured it out. My spouse and son used it consistently for about a week, using different positions, and neither of them were complaining about “feeling it” the next day, or after the workout, which indicates to me it isn’t working them out in any new way they weren’t already doing. Something else to consider with this item, we have hardwood floors, and this item is made of plastic and doesn’t have any gripping feet or anything on it, so it tended to slide a bit until we found a pad to put it on. Overall, I’m not sure I would bother with purchasing this item. My spouse stated he could do just as good on his own without spending the money.
This is a nifty exercise board that shows how to do different arm exercises to help core parts of your upper body. Everything is labeled and you just put the pushups in the holes of the muscle you want to work on. It is foldable and portable. It comes with a drawstring bag that can be carried on your back. The pushups store inside the board as it is folded up. This is really a thoughtful idea and would make a great gift especially for an exercise minded person who wants to work on their upper body strength.
I bought this foldable push-up board for my sons to use in their bedroom along with a few dumbbells, and so far it’s been a great addition. It’s compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to pull out for a set of push-ups and just as easy to tuck away when they’re done. It doesn’t take up much space, which is ideal for a bedroom setup. What I’ve liked:The build quality feels solid. The plastic is sturdy, and the board doesn’t flex noticeably under use.The foldable / portable design is a real plus. They can move it around, take it to another room, or store it away without hassle. It’s practical. The color-coded guide for hand positions is nice for targeting different muscle groups (chest, shoulders, triceps, etc.).Anti-slip grips/handles seem well thought out, it stays in place pretty well.Good weight capacity, the boys feel secure using it.A couple of things to watch or improve:The movement between fold / unfold is smooth, but over time that hinge area may wear, especially with heavier use.If the floor is very slick (hardwood or polished), sometimes the board shifts slightly at the start. We added a small rubber mat underneath to help. It’s great for push-ups, but for a full workout they will still need extra equipment (e.g. dumbbells, bands) to hit other muscle groups.Overall, this was a smart and practical buy. For a bedroom workout setup, it bridges the gap between being unobtrusive and still very functional.
This was easy to assemble and as long as you make sure they are locked into place. It helps with form but I would say it's not for beginners. Fitness level would be moderate to advanced, in my opinion. It's very sturdy and you feel supported. It folds back and goes into its bag, making it very portable. It hangs on the bag of the door for a spave saving option.
This is my first push-up pad. I enjoy using it and with consistent use, it will be a nice addition to a workout regimen. It’s well worth the cost! The size is 12” x 8 1/2” x 1 3/4” when folded in half (the handles are stored inside the pad when folded). When opened, the length is 26”. Each handle is 6 1/2” in length and the rubber tape around the handles has a great grip. Keep in mind the handle peg holes are 4 1/2” apart on each handle. Due to this, the handles only fit holes on the board that are 4 1/2” apart (on center). If you look at the board, you’ll see the hole distance on each side of the board varies. With that said, there are many different positions for the handles. The colors confused me at first. For example, blue is chest but you can’t put the handle in two blue peg holes (you can only do this with red and green for some reason). This made sense after I thought about it: when you’re doing a push up, you’re not just working one muscle group. The combo of colors will help to determine the muscle groups being used. Just keep in mind that not all pushups will be with an overhand (pronated) position. Some handle positions will likely require an underhand (supinated) grip due to the angle of the handles when doing a push-up.It also comes with a bag with string shoulder straps to transport the pad and a double sided “Use Guide”/“Burning Training Schedule” and 16 round, padded stickies to place on the bottom of the floor isn’t level.
Works good! My husband says he loves it. Nice and sturdy and puts good variety into his workouts.
