Ball is slightly to large for my small ears but nice anyhow I'm just self conscious is all
These gold ball stud earrings are perfect for my 5 year old granddaughter. It's the right size, the clip holds the earrings securely and they are very easy to clean. Initially she had birthstone studs, the problem with those was it was difficult to clean and she got a nasty ear infection around the base of the stud. With the ball stud, you simply remove and wipe the stud, clip and ear lobes with an alcohol wipe twice a week. We were doing the same type of cleaning with the birthstone studs, but her ears lobes still got infected.
I have a lot of gemstone and precious metal earrings that I wear for evenings out, (no costume in my life), but I have always worn size 5 gold balls every day for over 35 years, 24/7. I was devastated when I lost an earring while mowing the back 40......or maybe the front 40......I wear a big sun hat with a cord, face mask hooked over my ears, glasses and ear protectors while sitting on 'the tractor/riding lawnmower'.....so in other words, lots of action around my ears.... After I picked myself up, (I didn't wear anything for awhile--I kept hoping I'd find it--needle in a haystack), I looked long and hard for a replacement pair........I am picky--this took weeks....I compared metal content, locations of sellers, read thousands of comments, where they are made, who makes them...and took a chance with this seller......and am glad I did.......I have had very little slippage... I think the posts could be a tiny bit longer, (compared them to my remaining earring), and I am hyper vigilant and check them several times a day, but they are still shiny, they stay on, I sleep and shower with them on......so take a chance like I did and trust this honest seller....... AND being that the seller isn't going anywhere, if I happen to lose another one..........
Great earrings!! I had trouble finding these exact ones, but finally did. I love them! The fasteners are a bit small and therefore not that handy. They arrived in good time.
they are lovely earrings and fit great
Earrings cost me $87.00. the first time I wore them, one of the earring posts fell off. Since I didn't save the envelope they were shipped it, I would have to pay for a box to return them. I am going to bring them to a pawn shop to see what I can get for them since they are supposedly 14K gold. I will not buy jewelry from amazon again.
I like them, good size and nice quality.
These studs are very pretty and the right size at 5mm. Quality and affordable jewelry. Plus they came in a cute box with a magnetic bow. Great purchase.
DESCRIPTIONThe earrings are exactly as described, and come in a nice 2" x 2" x 1" red velvet box, great as a gift.SIZEThey are 4mm in diameter but look smaller. That is, they look about 3mm in diameter because the surface is curved (a sphere). That's not a complaint. It is just a suggestion to buy "ball" earrings about 25% larger than the size you have in mind.CONSIDERATIONS> They look best on brunettes. They stand out on women with short hair and tanned or dark skin. Blondes might consider slightly larger earrings.> They project an understated elegance, which is particularly suitable for women who wish to project confidence and competence, i.e., perhaps more for work than partying.> If a young teen must wear earrings, these are a good choice. There is a safety issue for active individuals, especially in less-than-the-best schools---small ball earrings are less likely to be torn out, or otherwise cause damage (accidentally or intentionally) than any other kind of earring.> For adults who wear multiple earrings the size is probably ideal.> Click on “Stoney” just below the product title to see my other reviews, or leave a comment to ask a question.
Great quality as described s we on backs do not fit well
Beautiful, perfect gift for my daughter, excellent quality and speedy delivery.
Well made, beautiful 4mm ball earrings....just what I wanted. I would buy from these folks again anytime as they stand behind their merchandise 100%. I will be ordering a larger pair in the near future also.
Bought the 4mm, which are, yes, small - just as I wanted!! I'm small-boned and big studs look gaudy on me. These are lovely, conservative, classic, great for work, go with everything. They came in a nice little red velvet box, too.I read someone else had a problem with a stud collapsing, so I thought I'd add that I learned from my jeweler that ALL gold studs at this price point are hollow; because gold is soft, yes, these earrings will squash and/or dent, but in my experience - OK I admit, I've done this to two previous pairs (both bought at a department store, not through Amazon!) - it takes quite a bit to accomplish this. Like setting a computer on top of them (yes I once did this), or an 800+ page hardback textbook (did that too). Just taking them in & out isn't (shouldn't be, hasn't been for me with this or any other pair) a problem. I priced solid studs, but they're over $100 a pair (how much over depends on size) and almost as fragile. So for everyday wear I really prefer these, since they're less painful to replace if lost or damaged. Anyway, love these, great value, just what I expected, glad I bought them.
