Small Weedless Wacky Rig Hooks - Fish Circle Hook for Wacky Worm & Neko Rig Fishing - 25 Pack Saltwater & Freshwater Bass Hooks

These are small, sharp hooks with a weed guard that works to help prevent snagging in weedy locations. These rigs enable me to feel comfortable enough to trough the worm into grassy & weeded areas where fish normally hide. The rig pretects the hook well and allows me to expand where I fish & catch larger fish.

Not real bad, pretty good hookups but the fine wire that ties the weedguard comes loose almost immediately. Also the weedguard seems a little stiff and you have to watch to make sure it doesn’t go over the barb which denies sny hookset! I guess you could put a little glue in it but that just adds to the cost. I’m using it with senkos set up as neko rigs. I’m missing too many bites with that heavy weedguard wrapped around the hook keeping it f penetrating.

The small weedless #4 hooks came in a plastic case. Careful as it pops open pretty easily. A few things I noticed while using are that the weedless wire takes up most of the hook eye. It took extended effort to insert braid or mono line through the eye. I pretty much had to bend the wire at the eye to create a large enough opening to force the line through. Plan your knots accordingly as you won't be able to insert the line a second time, as needed for many traditional knots. I used live bait (mealworms in a pond and earth worms in a reservoir) thus far. I got plenty of hard bites at both locations but I never had the weed guard triggered. The weed guard seems pretty stiff which did keep me from snagging any weeds or sticks with this hook. I'm wondering if the #4 size hook is just too small for this weed guard to consistently trigger.

I ordered size #4 weedless wacky hooks for ultralight fishing. Although you could use them with a regular-sized rod/reel setup, I decided on the smaller size. The weedless wire that covers the hook works well. You press down on the wire and push it inward, and then to the left or right, and it pops up so you can bait the hook. Reverse the process and you're in business! I've rigged these with smaller senko-style rubber worms, grubs, and beetles, and the presentation is perfect. You get 25 hooks in a package, and though the #4's are small, they make a great addition to my UL setup and kit.

These would be good weedless hooks if the wire weed guards didn't crowd the hook eye so much. I really can't get a catch through the eye at all. I can thread line through so they're not completely unusable...

I am impressed with these hooks. They are well made and plenty sharp. It's been a while since I got any weedless hooks, but my last ones used a plastic piece to stop weeds from getting hooked, this one uses a metal wire and it seems much better than my prior hooks. These are perfect for wacky rigging a worm and even though I received them for free through Amazon Vine, at this price I will probably order more, they are a steal.
