I’d say worst printer ever but never found a good one yet. Prints great…when it works. Have fun setting it up again every week or 2. Constantly unlinks from network, and cannot found. You might think then just use brother connect app. Which is more reliable but that just buys you an extra week or couple at the most before you have to wipe it and start again even though your device will connect, it can’t find it. Finally had enough and pitched it in the trash.
Si me gustó, está bien cuidada. Aún no la uso aunque ya me la instalaron.Gracias
No lo recomiendo, no sirve
I bought this Brother Printer after another Brand updated and then would not recognize the INK Cartridge. I was really aggravated, it was 2 months old. This one said it came with a years supply of INK. Well I'm here to say I've been really impressed with the quality of the printer. It's just now running low on INK and we've done more printing than the average household( way More). We've had this for about 8 months and the cost of new ink is not bad. It prints from our phone, iPad , as well as the PC. It connects with the network easily, setup was a breeze, and no bigger than most other home printers. And the paper cartridge holds about half a ream of paper, meaning you don't have to be refilling it often. In short, I'm convinced this is the best home printer we've ever bought.UPDATE: it's Now September 9th 2025, we've had this printer almost a year, WE PRINT A LOT. it said we needed ink about a month and a half back, I kept printing till it stopped today. I'm really impressed. we've gone through a couple reems of paper and it just kept going. until the tanks were completely empty! Absolutely the BEST printer I've ever owned!
Came with a US plug which is not helpful when I live in the UK
I can only give it four stars because the setup was a mess. I did get it working, but it was so not intuitive. I spent a career as a computer professional, and many years doing desktop support. I'm not exactly a novice. I was installing on a MAC and sometimes the support for MACs just isn't stellar. Sometimes I was flying by the seat of my pants with years of experience. I did, however, get it working :). The quick guide is kinda sparse. Too sparse. It says "now install the ink cartridges" which is mostly intuitive only they did not tell me if I needed to remove the tape from the cartridge first. I did and I still don't know If it was what I was supposed to do. And no clue how to turn the thing off ... really, nothing in the instructions on how to turn it off. I printed a test page of something that has intensive colors and detailed graphics (a geological thin section in XP view). It took FOREVER to print, but I guess that is ok. It was really color intensive. I hid under the table half the time looking for the X-wing fighters. It seriously sounded like a full on Star Wars assault on the battle star. Pew, Pew, Pew ... no kidding. I'm ok with that, just thought it was interesting. I was amused. Having said all that I'd probably buy it again. My comments are 1) hey, it's a 99 dollar color printer. I can do without the multi-function stuff as I have other devices. It will meet my needs. I don't need fast, I just need reasonable color resolution, 2) It was cheap :) If you are considering this (or any other color inkjet for laser) for your primary printer - just don't do it. That is a bit of free professional advice. The consumables will break the bank. You just can't feed a color printer of any description as a primary printer and come ahead. It will eat your pocketbook. And it's slow as molasses. 3) read carefully before you buy. Way too many companies now want to snag you into that subscription thing. You have got pay them to keep the thing working. Great business model for them, not so great for you. And don't buy a service agreement ..... serious money maker for companies. If it works out of the box, it will likely work for years. That goes for cars as well, but that is another story for another time 5) Brother is a great company and makes great printers as does Canon. You get a lot of bang for your buck for ninety-nine bucks. Just don't buy it as your only printer. OK, off my soapbox. Sorry for the rant. Chose wisely.
This inexpensive print/copy/scan printer is for our low-volume home use, replacing a similar-level HP printer. The HP has been very frustrating, performing extremely sluggishly, and in one in every three attempted prints it has to be unplugged/replugged to restart it and reconnect with the home wifi network. The Brother installs easily in less than an hour to unbox, set up, fully connect, download/update all the software, and create an account and register. It is not fast (a typical color page might take seconds), but it starts printing promptly, the quality is good, and it has not dropped connection. It is immediately visible and usable by the Windows and Android devices on our home network. The plastic tray and page catcher are flimsy, but this seems to be the norm these days. The control buttons and the accompanying software are simple and clear. The ink cartridges claim to last a long time - and for our volume of printing does not warrant the automatic ink replenishment service that we found so unnecessarily expensive with the HP machine. The Brother has no two-sided printing, but for us this is rarely an issue. So at this point it looks like a good, simple, cost-effective choice for us, if it proves reliable over time.
I absolutely love this printer. It’s been a fantastic addition to my space, handling daily printing tasks with ease and consistent quality. The ink tank system offers great value and reduces the need for frequent cartridge replacements, which saves time and money. Whether printing documents or labels, it delivers sharp, clear results every time. For anyone who prints regularly, this printer is a dependable and efficient choice. Just buy it when its on sale or a prime day or something - not full price.
Great machine, easy set up, always ready and is very economical with ink use. Im impressed. I bought an epson printer last christmas and it was nothing but trouble. Was so fed up with it, we bought a different machine. The brother, remarkable upgrade from epson. With stick with brother from now on.
