Girls Waterproof Winter Jacket Fleece Lined Hooded Coat,Kid's Warm Insulated Parka for School & Outdoor Play

I ordered size 13/14 for my 13-year-old daughter who's small for her age at 4'11" and around 80 pounds. The coat is big on her as expected but not too big that she won't be able to wear it this winter. Overall, it's a well-made and attractive coat. There's elastic along the lower back to shape the waist when the coat is zipped up, and the fur lining along the hood is removable, which is a nice option. Note that the hood itself is not removable. I like that the coat has a spot on the inner tag to write my daughter's initials in case she misplaces it at school or leaves it on the bus. We both like the cozy inner fur lining on the body of the coat and the silky inner lining on the sleeves which will allow sweater sleeves to slide in and out easily. The coat also features button closures on the exterior pockets and a deep inner pocket perfect for a phone and cash/gift card. I deducted one star because the hood flares out making it look kind of bulky. We haven't tried it without the fur lining yet, so maybe removing that would make it less bulky, but my daughter really likes the fur.

So today was the first date honestly that we could wear it when it was cold enough and I do have to say that it is a very warm coat. My child loves the additional feature of having the pocket inside her jacket, where she's able to hide in the additional juice box for when she goes outside for recess. The color is great, very nice, rich black. I love the fact that you can zip off the Fur part of the hood fits her perfectly with enough extra room, and if she needs to wear a sweatshirt or sweater underneath it, she is able to and still be able to move her arms, the softness, she says it is super Soft inside. I love the quality of the jacket. It looks like it's been very much put together properly. As for zipper quality, I don't know yet as she wears her jacket open.

My tween daughter has suddenly decided everything must be black, so when I realized she had outgrown her winter coat, this one checked all her boxes. She is about 4'10" and 90 lbs. Based on the size chart, I could have gone with the 11-12, but decided to size up to a 13-14 to make sure she had enough room for bulky winter clothes underneath. Aside from being a touch long in the sleeves, this size fits her well with room for layers. It comes down to about her knees.The furry lining is soft and warm, and I love that the fur around the hood is detachable. She may want to wear it from time to time, but she hates how snow gets clumped to fur like that, so she probably will choose to keep it off. The pockets unfortunately aren't lined or cozy, but they are deep, and the way they are angled plus the snaps means that they should be pretty secure and things won't fall out of them. There is also one interior pocket.I think this is a versatile winter coat. The longer length and the fact that it is not super puffy makes it look dressy enough to wear to most things - particularly in the black color. But it is still easy to clean and wear daily to school and to play.I also tried it on the coat for reference. At 5'4", 135 lbs, I could wear it, but it feels tight in the shoulders and certainly would feel tighter if I had a heavy sweater on. It comes down just past my butt. So the 13-14 would definitely be an option for some women, particularly if you are petite or have narrower shoulders.

This Winter Jacket for Girls is all around Fantastic!! Upon trying this jacket on for the 1st time, my daughter was very hesitant to take it back off, because she said she was to comfortable & warm while wearing it!! Both my daughter and I love the way this jacket looks both in photo and in person.This Jacket is constructed really well too, they used some really clever techniques throught the jacket. It also possesses very neat, thorough, and efficient stitching, features that make me feel as if this jacket will last a good length of time.Its hard to see from the advertised photos but, the ends of the arm sleeves do tighten against the childs wrists and hands, trapping in the heat for the arms, something that is a necessity for a good winter jacket, in my opinion based off of my own experiences with my kids & myself!The jacket does a good job of reflecting liquids and it is fairly easy to clean.The inner lining of this jacket is fantastic, its a nice soft plush material and from experience that will be so nice durring Winter where we live, in Wisconsin!It hasn't been colder than 45° Fahrenheit where we live yet, so I can't completly judge how this Jacket will hold up in really cold weather yet but, it feels as if it will hold up really well based off of the materials used and the jacket thickness.. if however that is not the case tho then I will update this post same day! As for now, it held up wonderdully durring the cold nights we have had here in Wisconsin this past month, and so thats huge!__~*Hope this Helps!__
