I wear caps/hats regularly (mainly for sun protection when I am outside) and was curious to try this one. This was my first time trying this style of hat. The cap arrived packaged in a sealed plastic pouch and was in perfect condition. My impressions:- I love the color: it is a perfect neutral and goes with a variety of outfits- the material is soft and breathable but also durable; it is labeled as 100% cotton- there are also small metal "vents" on the side of the cap for additional breathability- the cap can fold flat so it is also convenient to throw in the bag- the back has an adjustable metal clasp (it is the kind that you pull, not the velcro or the button kind); the size adjusts both for my head (I am female) and my boyfriend's head (who has a much larger head)- I am impressed at how flattering and fun this cap looks and also by its versatility; my boyfriend has tried it on and it looks great/masculine on him and edgy/fun on meOverall, a great quality hat at a great price (under $14 as of writing this review). I would love to get more colors.
Love this cap it is super cute and stylish ! Might diy it !
I’m not sure what Malaxlx were thinking when they called their latest unisex hat a “Military Cadet Army Cap for Men Women.” I’ve known a lot of army personnel and none have been men-women. Nor have I known any men in the army who called themselves cadets.I’m especially unsure of how my new denim Malaxlx would fare if I wore it on a military base.As a male non-cadet, I imagine I’d get several in-my-face screams of phrases like “ARE YOU A MAGGOT, PRIVATE?” before being assigned latrine-cleaning duties for the rest of the week. But back home here in Westchester, reactions to my wearing it are slightly less severe. If you have a medium- to large-sized head, you’ll want to loosen the strap in the back lest your hair stick out through the sides, lending you the appearance of a circus clown being driven insane by the pressure of his tiny cap.I do wish I’d chosen the non-denim version of this hat because the fabric makes it even more conspicuous. Though the hat is nicely made — not too structured and doubtless ideal for someone else — I’m not certain in ever going to wear mine in public. The Malaxlx is small and flat enough to seem unassuming, so a fair number of other customers will probably like it.But when I put it on, I feel as though I’m in some Busby Berkeley musical and about to join a kaleidoscopic dance number.
Very nice hat for the coin being asked in my opinion.I have another cargo hat which is made in a similar fashion. The one drawback with that hat is the ventilation. It had two small holes and was stitched up so tight that hardly any air would pass through it.I told myself I would have to get some metal ringlets and install some on my own.Well, the manufacturers of this hat (Malaxlx) thought of that already. Here we get FOUR ventilation holes...two on each side.Believe me it makes a difference. So they went the extra yard and made a great hat here.Very comfortable and fully adjustable cotton strap with a metal belt buckle type clasp. I much prefer this type as opposed to Velcro types. Set it and forget it.Material isn't heavy, but for me the right thickness for the heat.Recommended.
Malaxlx Military Cadet Army Cap for Men Women – Washed Cotton Vintage Adjustable Flat Top Hat (Black)My previous cadet-style hat (from a different brand) wore out after years of wearing and washing and I wanted to replace it with as close a copy as possible. Malaxlx had the closest thing I could find.It fits me really well and all the seams are sewn neatly. Seems to be of as good a quality as one might expect for this price point. Comfortable, no itchy spots. Color is a slightly faded black, which looks fantastic. I wear mine to shade my eyes when I'm working in the yard, and it's not too hot in the sun.The only thing I don't love is that the adjustable band in the back tends to loosen itself over time, so I occasionally have to tighten it back up. I wish it would stay where I set it. But it's manageable. So, for the price, I think this earns four stars, and for a hat I wear in the yard and sweat in, I would buy this again when this one wears out.
This is a really cute hat. The green color goes good with my red hair. It's lightweight but very sturdy. The perfect size for me. It's adjustable too. Great value.
I have a lot of hats and caps. I wear one most of the time. Sometimes though I am doing some kind of grungy work and I don't want to accidently mess up one of my embroidered hats so this is perfect. It fits very comfortably (my hat size is 7 1/4) and the strap was easy to adjust. It's very soft and I like the subtlety of the army green color. I love how soft it is as well. Most hats these days seem to be over $20 so this would feel like a steal at $14. Love it!
No where near the color advertised unfortunately. I already thought the khaki was quite pale in the photo, in person it's even paler and I swear its even quite greenish. Other than that, if you don't mind that color weirdness, this hat is really nice. It's very soft and the 100% cotton material means I'm comfortable wearing this without worrying about it burning while I'm working. It even has these silly little metal mesh pieces in the vent holes, I can't really think that these would do anything other than keeping a fly from somehow flying in while you're wearing it, but they're cute. I highly recommend this hat for anyone looking for this style of cap if the color isn't your biggest concern.
