08-03-2026Arrived no muss no fuss.Adequately packed and basically ready to go.Includes 9 volt battery to get started, would highly suggest getting an actual voltage (9 volt) Lithium and charger.Sturdy enough to survive so called average use.Small kid sized, even smaller than the photos may indicate.Handy carry bag has room for the detector and a couple of digging items, also included.Metal detection is both and art and a science.Read and understand the instructions and if possible practice in a sand box or something very easy to begin.A handful of pennies few nickels and dimes and a prize find quarter are indicated for initial training.Different other targets such as pop tops, and a few household items are useful in learning how to interrupt visual and audible signals.Makes a great starter unit. 08-03-2026This is a fun little metal detector! It is easy to understand, and use. It hit on different types of metal things around my property, and using the shovel and rake was easy to dig up the treasures - nails, nuts, and a drill bit I had lost years ago, but it was able to find all those things. It even detected a mystery thing that is under my concrete, so it is probably going to remain a mystery.When the metal detector does detect metal, there are these little bones that indicate where it is... The more bones on the screen, the more directly over the metal the detector is. It also beeps pretty loud when near metal.I really like that you don't have to set it to different metals, it detects all of it. I tested it on my jewelry and hit on my silver and gold. The included storage bag is pretty sturdy, and the metal detector can be broken down in 3rds to easily store and transport it.Adjusting the height is really easy, and it locks into place securely. The batteries seem to last a good long time, and there is a battery indicator right on the screen to show when the batteries need to be changed. I can't wait to go out with my grandsons to look for buried treasure!

08-03-2026I ordered this metal detector for my daughters who love digging through dirt outside and often find fun little treasures. They also tend to lose jewelry so I knew this would serve a wonderful purpose in our family! I love the design of this detector and how easy it is to snap together as well as take apart (making storing it really easy and practical). The color choices are so fun and the puppy on the screen is really cute as well. It is a very straight forward and easy detector to use, perfect for kids of any age. This set even comes with some tools and a bag for easy storage. Using the detector is fun but it doesn't have as much range as I had hoped. I tested it with metal stakes to see how far away it could detect (in my video included) and was a bit disappointed to see that I had to be right on top of the object to get a signal. Testing it with a ruler inside was about the same, the detector was about two inches from the ruler and didn't get a signal. If you are looking for a small object, be sure to put this detector right along the ground or you most likely will miss it. I highly doubt it will detect four inches underground as advertised. However, it is a fun little metal detector and I know my kids will enjoy it. I do think the price ($39.99 at the time of this review) is a bit high considering it really is just a toy and doesn't detect metal from very far. Overall, it is a fun toy but I don't think I'd order it again considering the price and other comparable options available.

Why isn't the metal detector beeping?
If the metal detector shows no response after powering on, the reset function may have been activated. Simply place the search coil in an open area, press the power switch, and the metal detector will function normally.

Why won't it turn on after installing batteries?
