This is a great note taking tablet, very much what I was looking for after doing a ton of research. The WIFI transfer works really well, the customer support when you have questions, are very helpful! The one thing you should note is that you will most likely not be able to connect your email and non of the email providers that I use trust the chinese server that everything is routed through, so there is no way to connect my emails, which is a serious bummer. Hopefully with some updates and maybe having more server secutiry inplace will allow me to connect in future. But all in all great piece of tech, writes great, light weight and all round a berautiful piece of hardware. looking forward to the software updates that they will hopefully roll out.
This is a great product, definitely would recommend this to anyone. Replaces all my paper notes and is easy and simple to attach to files. I rate the Penstar E-Note Tablet 10/10!
This arrived very fast and unopened. This is the best deal I could find on a good e-ink tablet and I love it. It has taken all the hassle out of notetaking and it's great for sketches. The display only shows black and white, shaded in gray scale, but you can select pen colors which are revealed after saving the images and opening them with something else. If you are getting this because it is not as expensive as others, don't worry, this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. I love it! Bundle deal is totally worth it. Battery lasts for weeks, months even, for me anyway. Auto-shutoff, but saves all your work first. Quick to reboot.
I bought the Penstar to take notes, be able to digitalize them and to have them in my PC.The device is slim and well made, but in some respects, it is noticeable that this is the first iteration of the product (e.g. the interface is spartan and is not consistent). The writing experience is pleasant and almost like writing on paper but augmented due to the perfect erasure and “cut and move” capabilities. For me the drawback is that the “convert to text” function is supported in Chinese and English only. The very limited available apps is another issue (Jan 2025). A longer battery charge will be appreciated as well but not critical.I hope they can further develop the software to solve current limitations because the product looks great.
After researching different paper tablet brands, I finally decided to give Penstar a try. I was hesitant initially, could I really justify the price for something so specialized? However, my primary goal was organizing all my work-related documents and note-taking, and Penstar seemed tailor-made for that at an affordable price. After several weeks of use, this device not only met my expectations but exceeded them in several ways. The value is outstanding, and it has quickly become a staple in my daily workflow! What Stands Out- Writing ExperienceThe writing experience is phenomenal, way better than writing on my iPad. The screen’s paper-like texture and responsiveness make it feel natural, with virtually no latency!- Reading ExperienceThe large screen has completely transformed my reading habits. Compared to my old Kindle Paperwhite, this device is a joy to read on, and I can’t imagine going back, sorry my kindle.- IntegrationsAs an Android-based device, Penstar allows app downloads, adding versatility far beyond a typical note-taking tablet. The device syncs flawlessly with cloud platforms, which is really helpful for my work.- Note OrganizationAs someone who used to rely on multiple physical notebooks, I now manage all my notes effortlessly in one place. The ability to categorize and organize notes is a huge timesaver, allowing me to build a “second brain” with ease!- Customizable Physical ButtonsThe physical buttons are a standout feature. I was criticizing it’s not touch screen, then after my research, those are like customized action buttons! I’ve customized them for quick navigation for my notes. Since the device isn’t touch screen, it avoids accidental touches as well.- Solid Hardware and PortabilityThe device is ultra-thin and portable, with a USB-C charging port, and I’m surprised about the long-lasting battery, I have’t charged for two weeks, and it still showing 43%. The included case and stylus are well-designed, making it a complete and ready-to-go package.Things to Improve1. No BacklightWhile this may be a downside for some, I appreciate the reduced glass layer, which improves the writing feel, but having the adjustable light will be a plus.2. No Touch ScreenAgain, not a dealbreaker for me since I’m relying on the stylus and the buttons for navigation, but it might effect some people’s decision.3. Lightweight StylusThe stylus comes in the kit, but it feels lighter than expected; a heavier option would improve the writing experience, and the magnet-touching function will improve the experience as well.4. Fingerprint AccessI turn on and off the screen really often, it will be huge improve if it supports fingerprint access.Final ThoughtsThe Penstar eNote has been an excellent investment for me. While I primarily use it for work, I can see it evolving into a tool for countless other applications as updates roll out. For anyone in need of a reliable, distraction-free digital note-taking and reading solution, this device offers great value and usability. Highly recommended!
I have had this for 2 weeks and it has more than lived up to my expectations so far. Highly recommend that you read the manual before using. Set up was easy following the steps in the manual. I like that there is no touch screen functions on it. It is easy to load documents using Google drive or OneDrive. Email function is nice as well. The note function is what I was primarily after and it is excellent. It is very close to a paper like feel and the writing to text feature works well. The recording function works very well to. I have not used the voice to text feature yet. It comes with 7 hours worth of that after that you have to purchase more time. There is no colour but I am fine with that. Anyone looking for a paper like electronic note taking function I would highly recommend the eNote 2. The price point is good when compared to other enote devices on the market.
The Penstar E Note is a great product! It is easy to use and the display looks clear and bright. The characters on the display pop out and are better than the Boox Go 10.3 that I returned. The Penstar E Note is simple to use but yet has so many features. And it is light and solid. The Stylus works very well. The Penstar has eveything you need. And the half case and stylus come with the Penstar E Note. The price was very good making it affordable. I reached out to Penstar with a question and they responded quickly. Penstar is a company with a bright future. Hopefully they will come out with more procducts. Would love to see a smaller version of the E Note. I am so glad i purchased the E Note and use it to take notes for courses and for church. I HIGHLY recommend it!00
Great product. Does away with the many stacks of loose paperwork. Easy to use. Great customer support. Would recommend.
O produto chegou bem e rápido.O único problema que o menu está em chinês ou Japonês, não sei a diferença. Tem umas coisas em inglês, não domino. Ainda não consegui usar.
