My daughter absolutely loves this Axolotl stuffed animal. Firstly, it has such an adorable look with nice details of designs to the chest and feet. Material is soft and construction looks sturdy. It comes with several outfits and accessories that are well designed and of good quality. My daughter enjoys carrying them around and changing her outfit throughout the day. This would be a great gift to give.
Absolutely beautiful product
This was a weird experience that ended up reminding me of the importance of waterproof-packaging at the manufacturer level. On the one hand, this isn't gift-packaged. It's wrapped very tightly in plastic, as in extremely tightly with vacuum sealing, then taped all around the package to ensure that the plastic remains tightly in-place. On the other hand, this arrived safely, after going through what looks like a kind of hell. The package had what looked like mold or food residue outside of it, from a very long journey across the seas, as they say. But it was so well-wrapped that the stuffy and all accessories were PERFECT and arrived safely. Then, on its way to our home, this was saturated with shampoo from the leaking of two bottles that arrived half-empty. And yet, this was still perfectly DRY. Not one bit of whatever the dark mold-like substance was, that we found on one corner of this, and not one drop or glob of shampoo spilled in the box that contained both this and the shampoo, ended up on the actual stuffed-animal or on any of the accessories. After what looks like a very strange and eventful journey for this little stuffed-animal, with who-knows-what causing mold on one corner and then shampoo spilling all around it, this ended up arriving perfectly SAFE, with no damage whatsoever.I was so impressed with how well the manufacturer packaged this for its long journey, with plastic that had zero-gaps and truly no openings for any water or any other substance to make its way inside of the package, that I would have given this five-stars just for being the most tightly waterproofed package I've seen in years, until I actually got the little toy reinflated by leaving it in a warm space for a day and then put some clothing on it. Once I saw how cute this was, I wanted to give it a ten. This is adorable, brightly-colored, very suitable for a child of seven, and it's very fun to play with (or so I've been told by its new owner in our family). It was so well-packaged as to be waterproof on its journey, and so it survived exposure to mold or food (whatever that substance was) and it survived spilled/leaking-shampoo that got all over it during shipping and apparently rough-handling at USPS (where two of my relatives work and where they say everyone works very hard to prevent damage while machines sometimes seem to have minds of their own, sending packages flying off of conveyor-belts, and I got to see an entertaining video of that once, so I imagine something similar happened here). This was so tightly-wrapped that nothing got inside the package, and I ended up feeling like I'm better off gift-wrapping it myself, and buying something packaged like this, so that it arrives safely and without any contamination.Because of how adorable this is, I give it five-stars. But, because of how tightly this was packaged in its waterproof-plastic-wrapping, I'd give this ten-stars if I could. The tea that came in the same box was saturated, the shampoo was everywhere, and yet this was PERFECTLY DRY and in absolutely PERFECT CONDITION. I was stunned that this survived all that and ended up being the only undamaged item in a damaged box.Truly, this is packaged so well that I'd buy it again with short-notice, when I need a gift quickly and it has to arrive clean and in good-shape. It needs five or ten hours in room-temperature to fully fluff back up to normal shape, and it was only about four hours in 80-degree weather, and it's good-to-go and ready to be wrapped up and given to the Axolotl-lover in your life.As a bonus, since the Axolotls are a critically endangered species, with efforts underway to breed in captivity and release into the wild while also maintaining a captive population for species-preservation, this is a wonderfully educational toy. These adorable little creatures are beloved by many, especially by little children, and they require a great deal of help from humans in order to survive, which gives you an opportunity to educate your child about endangered species and the work being done to preserve them. With all that said, this is really a great toy for kids of the correct age, it's safe for a child old enough to know not to eat the sweaters and other accessories (our recipient was seven), and it's even educational, which makes it a five-star option in my book.
