This coat is better than any other we have tried. On the way home from a trip sweet iced tea was spilled on this coat. It was late so I just hung to deal with in the am! When we woke up we found the tea had dripped off the coat leaving the coat clean and dry. Not sticky at all. Super warm and repellant like no there. Amazing! Never expected this quality at this price.

However, the fit is a bit odd — the sleeves are on the long side, and the chest area feels slightly narrow. The front badge also looks unnecessary, though that’s a small detail. Still, for the price, it’s a solid winter coat that does its job well, just not perfect in the cut.

The quality of this jacket is just okay. For the price, I’d honestly go to an outlet mall and grab something from Columbia, North Face, or Eddie Bauer, you’d get much better quality for about the same cost. The inner liner isn’t great, and if it gets wet, it feels really uncomfortable. The outer material also feels cheap. If I had bought this myself, I’d return it. I’ve gotten way better jackets for my kids for the same price.

I got this for my son before he went on a 5th grade science camp in the mountains. There’s a faux fur lining in the vest area and hood, but it does not go into the sleeves, which I assume is for comfort reasons and letting kids move around freely. It fit exactly as expected, looks great, and I feel that the quality matches the price point. I love that the hood is removable as well. The only con, is the emblem on the chest - it’s a hard plastic, and I feel it’s just a little distracting from what would otherwise be a beautiful cold winter coat. I do not know if it would be warm enough in snowy conditions though.Machine wash instructions indicate wash in Cold water, line dry - though I would suggest an air dry with no heat in the dryer with some dryer balls to fluff it up.
