I think the design and build of the bars are good, but I was disappointed that they did not come fully assembled. You have to add the nonslip base and grip parts yourself (wrapping them in the black grip tape & adding the stickers to the bottom). Although the needed parts are provided, it seems like such a simple thing for to do prior to shipping.. overall it made the product feel unfinished and the manufacturing lazy. It's not like you can use the bars without these finishing steps, because you would slip or scuff your floor and get splinters in your hands, so it doesn't make sense to ship them unassembled as if they are "optional"
I bought these parallettes because I wanted a budget-friendly way to train at home, and they’ve pleasantly exceeded expectations in several respects. They’re made from multiple wooden pieces that are glued and bolted together—not a monolithic design, but the construction feels quite sturdy for what they are. When assembled, they don’t wobble, and you can tell they were built with care.Putting them together wasn’t my favorite part—they require assembly out of the box—but that caveat is clearly in the product description, so it wasn’t a surprise. Once built, they perform reliably for bodyweight work like shrugs, L-sits, push-up variations, and more. While I haven’t pushed them to their limits, they already feel like they’ll last a long time with regular use.One of the biggest strengths is value. For the price, you’re getting a functional set that helps you explore calisthenics without spending premium costs. They don’t feel cheap, and I haven’t noticed any weaknesses or defects so far.In short, these parallettes are a great addition to my home gym. They balance affordability with usability, and for anyone looking to get started with bodyweight training tools, this is a smart, low-risk purchase. I’ll update this review down the road if wear or structural issues appear, but right now they’re outperforming expectations.
These wooden parallettes are a great addition to a home calisthenics setup. They’re lightweight but feel sturdy enough for standard push-ups, L-sits, and beginner handstand practice. The wood finish gives them a nice natural grip, and the non-slip base helps keep them in place on most floors, which is perfect when you’re focusing on form and stability. For basic strength training and improving push-up depth, they work exactly the way they’re supposed to.While they’re not the most heavy-duty parallettes out there, they definitely get the job done for everyday workouts. They’re especially good for beginners or anyone who wants something affordable and straightforward without extra bulk. If you’re doing more advanced movements or putting a lot of weight/force on them, you might notice they’re on the lighter side, but for regular use they perform well and add good versatility to your home routine.
These nifty Wooden Parallettes Push Up Bars are not something that I would ordinarily think to purchase for myself as I try to lull myself back into shape after a long recovery from back pain. While I was struggling with my back it became evident how important it is to maintain good upper body and core strength in addition to lower back related exercises. As a person who has practiced yoga in the past, I would see how these wooden bars would help me with doing planks. The quality of the wood is really nice without feeling heavy and they are attractive looking to have around the house. I like that I can easily move them around without any strain. They are definitely sturdy enough to support my weight (but I'm only 110 lbs). They provided easy instructions for applying the rubber pads on the bottom and wrapping the bars with grip wrap. I'm not sure I did the best job in this aspect but I think it will all hold up with the slim sealing tape they provide for the ends (They do suggest adding a bit of glue for extra bond). I think this will be a nice addition to my at-home gym tools. I
I’ve been using these wooden parallettes push-up bars for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with the quality and performance. The wood feels sturdy and smooth — no splinters or rough edges. The craftsmanship is solid, and the bars support my weight (around 190 lbs) with no flexing or creaking. They give a natural grip feel that’s much more comfortable than metal or plastic alternatives, especially during longer workouts. The rubberized base is a game-changer. I train on hardwood and sometimes on rubber mats, and these bars stay perfectly in place. No shifting or sliding, even during explosive push-up variations or L-sits.These parallettes are ideal for push-ups, planche training, handstand work, and dips. The height is just right to give a deeper range of motion while keeping wrist pressure low. My wrist pain from flat-ground push-ups is gone.Lightweight enough to carry around or toss in a gym bag. They don’t take up much space, so they’re perfect for a home gym setup. If you’re into bodyweight training, calisthenics, or just want a better push-up tool, these are a great investment. Strong, stable, and stylish. Highly recommended!
I think these are overall well made. I think for the price the type of wood used could be a bit better quality. I like the handle wrap grip tape that came with it, although I don't get why they didn't already have it wrapped by the manufacturer. They work well for pushups or other exercises done in that position to keep the wrists in a more neutral position. They're comfortable enough and if you want more handle cushioning then just buy more grip tape to wrap it with. I was able to wrap them and get them ready for use very quickly and they've been a good addition to the gym. I'd consider buying these again, although I would look for a slightly lower price point since I'd be worried this type of wood might not last as long as metal or a good quality plastic.
