Great Coat

I got this coat for this coming winter, so right off hand, I can't give it 5 stars yet as it hasn't been tested in winter's cold. That said, it looks like it should be warm enough, although layering is something we still do during a typical winter here.She likes the pink even though it's a soft, more muted one compared to the product image. You can see it in my pictures. The coat has a warm lining and a detachable hood. Comes on and off with a zipper. The sleeves end with fabric designed to close around the wrist, keeping out breezes, and the hood buttons up in front of the face. There's a small reflective strip along the back near the bottom, and a badge I can't read. Since it's for little girls, having something like a cartoon character, a unicorn, or something else may have been better, but whatever. The two front pockets zip up to close and seem roomy enough for a kid's use.I washed this in cold water in a front loading washer and it came out fine. However, it says to line dry, so I hung it up in my shower and it managed to dry by the next afternoon. That's a day quicker than my own coat, which took two days to fully dry. Two full days.I bought the next size up for her so she could grow into a bit, but it should still be usable this winter. She tried it on and said it felt warm, so we'll have to see if it can stand up to a cold winter.

A great coat keeps my little girl warm

I came upon this coat while I was searching for a Warm Winter jacket for my nephew. I decided to buy this particular jacket based on its product description details which included such words as, 'Winter' and 'Warm'. The first time he wore this jacket outside after our first snowfall that just occurred recently, he only lasted about 10 minutes before he came back inside complaining of being cold. I decide to try it outside myself, and agreed with him. Despite this jacket being marketed as a warm winter fleece thermal, you name it, jacket, it is only appropriate for early fall, or temperatures no lower than the 50's. Now after we've had a taste of actual winter to test it out in, and found that it fails it's description, this product's return is no longer offered, and we are stuck with this expensive, non-winter jacket, as well as the money we could've used, if we had been allowed to return it, to put toward an actual winter appropriate coat.
