These are excellent heavy circle hooks. I am going to use it for fishing snook and redfish in near offshore fishing, something I don't often do. These hooks are heavy and strong and will be just what I need for fishing about 20' to 30' with bait.Normally I fish inshore in less that 5' of water, where I would use a lighter hook free-lining a live shrimp. I like the 45 degree upturned eye - it is perfect for snelling as I show in the photo. I also show how it looks on a dropper loop.
These hooks are very nice and sharp, I tried them fishing but I didn’t catch and fish so I could not evaluate if the hooks would work, but there is no reason to doubt them they are quality hooks. I like the turned back eye since I like to tie snell knots to rig these into a catfish rig, I tied a bunch into catfish rigs and wrapped them onto a piece of foam to organize them.
