I'm a little surprised by the low ratings from reviewers who are upset that this doesn't come with serum. There's nothing on this page that would make you think it comes with it. The description says that their *serum* is formulated for this device but not the other way around. You don't actually need to buy their PDRN serum, you just need a conductive medium and that can be any water-based serum. A sample would've been nice, but you can use it without it.I went and bought their PDRN serum anyway so I could give it a fair review. For $99.99, I'd consider this device to be a meaningful investment, but the price feels reasonable given that it's well made and the current is strong. On the flip side, the serum does feel expensive at $2/dose. I'm going to look for an alternative when I'm done with these. Now for how it works: MicrocurrentThe microcurrent (100Hz) is fairly strong. It's as tingly if not stronger than the current they use for facials at the Korean spas out here. If you go slow, it can get intense. It feels like it really works. LED LightThe manual lists the red light to be 625nm ±10nm. The ideal range I've read online is 630–660nm which put this at the lower end for effectiveness. And since you're only using this for a few minutes at a time, I'm not sure the light does much. Infrared LightIt's listed as 855nm ±10nm, which is on the higher end of the recommended range for infrared light therapy. Kinda impressed that you can get professional IR levels at home. Serum DispenserIt's kinda whatever tbh. I don't see it doing a better job than applying serum directly to your face. Just make sure you're only rolling areas that have serum. Don't do it to dry skin. The first time I used it I overpumped and it just dripped down the side. It's meh. Look & FeelI love the way it looks—seriously cute. It's easy to use and glides smoothly. The design and packaging are clean and thoughtful. It's a perfect gift for any skincare addicts. SerumEven if it's the right amount, I feel like I could use a little more so that all of my skin feels dewy the entire time I'm using it. The cost is the biggest downside. ResultsI almost immediately noticed my skin looking more bright and vibrant in the same way my face has a healthy glow after getting a facial. It's still too soon to see any long term results, but I love the instant boost. I feel and look more awake.Sorry for the novel. I just think if you're thinking about to spend $100 on a device, you should at least know what you're spending it on. I'm really happy with it overall and I definitely see myself using it long term. If you've been looking for an LLLT device, this one's really good.
The HydraGlow facial device delivers gentle microcurrents, but it requires the use of a PDRN serum to actually feel those currents. Unfortunately, the device is designed to work only with the company’s own PDRN serum ampoules, which cost an additional $60. For a product that’s already priced at $100, I really think it should come with at least one ampoule so users can properly test how the device works and decide whether they even like the serum before spending more.Since no serum was included, I had to apply my own directly to my face to try it out, so I can’t comment on how well the serum dispenses through the device or whether the dispensing button functions properly. The device itself is lightweight, easy to hold, and rolls smoothly across the skin. It also has a row of red LED lights in the center of the head, but with only seven small lights, I don’t expect it to make a noticeable difference in circulation or collagen production compared to larger LED devices.Overall, this device has potential, but the lack of an included serum makes it hard to fully test or justify the price. I’d recommend that the company include at least one serum ampoule.
The design and packaging of this device is really pretty, and feels good quality. However, I didn’t notice any substantial results even though the microcurrent is really strong. I have tried other devices similar to this with serums with my esthetician and felt like it had great results that last. I’ve used this for about a month now and haven’t really felt it do anything except enhance absorption of my serums just a bit at the time but you could also just pat it in longer with your hands. I used another PDRN serum with it and just didn’t see the results that make the cost worth it. It is convenient for absorption so I don’t have to stand there and pat for so long, but otherwise it’s not the best device I’ve used. I would rather get a device with a stronger red light.
Giving 4 stars on the physical product, not on long term effects because I just started using it. This product does NOT come with serum. This seems to be something that a lot of people miss while ordering this product. I was one of them. But I am known for not completely reading the product descriptions before I order something. It’s really not a big deal. You can use your own serum if you don’t want to purchase the serum that goes with this product. I have several facial serums and I just used one of them.It took me a long time to use this product because I wasn’t sure it was going to do anything, and then when I realized it didn’t have the serum I just put it away and didn’t think about it. I finally decided to use it last week and I have been using it consistently. This thing can be felt for sure when using it on your face. You can feel the currents going through it, and you just need to make sure that you have serum on your face and you’re not doing it over a dry skin. The product itself is very nice looking, it seems like it’s made really nice and it’s very prettyI don’t know about the long-term effects as I’ve only used it a few times so far.
