08-03-2026The jeans are a beautiful color (FLAXEN WHEAT), the concept of a pull on waist seams great, and the denim fabric is substantial with good workmanship in the stitching. The problem is the sizing. I have other GV jeans in this size (14), which fit well, but these are enormous in the waist and hip area, tighter in the leg area. I could order them in 12 (my regular size for pants other than jeans) or even a 10, but I am afraid that the legs would be too tight. I have an average size leg but carry a little extra weight in the abdominal area so I would think that the waist would be tighter and the legs looser. But, as stated above, the waist and hips were overly large and badly gaping/bagging all around. The pants legs, in addition to being tighter than usual for a straight leg, felt oddly off-kilter in the construction, which made them uncomfortable, almost twisting and binding.This was my first pair of "pull-on" GV jeans. I will stick to the regular waist ones. Gloria Vanderbilt jeans are usually quite comfortable and well-constructed, so I am bit puzzled.

08-03-2026I bought the black and loved them so much I went back for a different color. They only had one other in my size - a 10 Short. The description at the top of the page says Gloria Vanderbilt Women's Shape Effect Pull on High Rise Straight Leg Jean Standard. Yet I was supposed to magically know they were an entirely different style as the ones I had already purchased on the same page. I have quite a few pairs of this brand so I was surprised when this “short” was about 4 inches too long. They were so long they went from one side, under my foot and over the top of my foot to hit the other side again. Yet every other pair I’ve purchased is a perfect length. I feel tricked.

08-03-2026Had to purchase these in this smaller size. They seem to run a little large. After washing they did not shrink. The smaller size fit me really good even after washing. These jeans are comfortable and are very good looking. Material is soft.

08-03-2026I bought these because I had surgery on my hand and I needed pants that I could pull up without snapping and it turned out to be one of the best things I could’ve done actually I think they fit wonderfully. They are great material they’re comfortable and I’m ordering four more pair. Why Jack with the zippers and the snaps on jeans when you can just pull these up I love them.

08-03-2026It has been hard for me to find stylish jeans with an elastic waistband. I'm in my 70's and the very skinny elastic waist jeans on offer at the mall do not suit my age. These Gloria Vanderbilt Womens Shape Effect jeans fit me beautifully and they're very comfortable for all-day wear. I followed the instructions to wash in cold water before wearing, and there was no colour transfer upon wearing. I had ordered the jeans in Kansas Whiskey and in Black Rinse, and was so pleased with them both, I reordered another pair of each. I would be happy to recommend these jeans.

08-03-2026I bought a pair of these jeans while on holiday in USA. They fit so well and so comfortable to wear once I returned home I regretted not buying more. Delighted to find I could order them on Amazon. Ordered UK Size18 (label shows USA size 16). High waisted, they fit perfectly and are very flattering. Excellent value. Cost £28 on Amazon but $50 on label. Delivery was less than a week from USA. Highly recommend.

08-03-2026I really love these jeans. I did order a size up, as many reviews stated to do, and they fit my waist perfectly. I never mind ordering larger sizes than I normally wear because different brands fit differently. Nobody is going to look inside my clothes to see what size I wear. They stayed up all day and didn’t stretch out. Usually I wear a short but they were out of a short in the size I wanted so I ordered the regular. Yes, they were long but it maybe took me 10 mins to shorten them with my sewing machine. Another thing I noticed is that whenever I order a short in pants or jeans that the high rise waist is never as high as I want. I suppose short also means short everywhere. I’m long waisted so I need the material up there more than at the bottom. The regular fit just like high waisted should! I will order regular from now on and just hem the pants/jeans. I don’t mind not having a front pocket. It’s just going to stick out by adding more fabric to the front of my body which is what I don’t need. I place my phone in my back pocket anyway. Therefore, it keeps the front and sides smooth on my figure, which is important to me. I washed and dried the jeans before I wore them as I ordered the darker blue and also wanted them to shrink before I hemmed them and wanted to make sure there was no color transfer on whatever I wear. They washed and dried very nicely. The material quality seems very nice, and they pull on easily and the weight of the jeans is not too light or too heavy. I really like the wider bottom as most skinny jeans are also tight at the ankle. These look more like a pair of regular jeans. These will be my go to jeans from now on!
