08-03-2026I do a lot of salmon fishing. I saw that this rod was a medium heavy and portable before ordering. Typically the same power rating I look for when fishing for large salmon.This set exceeds the quality of typical all in one portable setups. I like all the accessories that it came with, mainly the nice quality 30lbs braided line, and case stood out to me.The most important thing I look for in a portable fishing pole set up is rod and reel quality. I don’t expect Shimano Professional quality as some of my spinning reels, but I do look for a reel that is smooth, well put together, and quality feeling. The reel feels decent and I didn’t notice any indications of low quality. I would say the same with the rod. Its diameter is skinnier than some of my salmon rods, and on par with my medium rods. It does feel pretty strong for the diameter though. I could see it handling decent sized salmon. I wouldn’t expect it to handle exactly the same as my every day setups ups, but I use decent quality fishing equipment and would feel confident using this in a pinch or as a backup to my usual goto stuff.It’s much more portable so I can just leave this in my car/truck for any occasion. It’s lightweight, yet balanced and durable.I find it a great value! This is a great all in one portable fishing machine. The best quality portable fishing setup that I’ve run across. I can’t say yet how it will hold up in the long run as for the nature of what I will be using it for ( Backup, and surprise fishing opportunities ).

08-03-2026This really is an excellent set. Really like the collapsible poles,they feel great and have a good action. I like the reel as well, feels very smooth when winding. Lots of good accessories. The bag is a great size for all the fishing gear.,and is a pretty good quality. I like the ease of having a ready fishing kit all in one bagg,and this is perfect. I really got the two pack in hopes I could get my kid to go fishing with me. Now I have the gear for it. I'm really pleased with this.

08-03-2026I ordered this for my husband who loves to fish. This is a good-looking kit to keep in his truck so if he happens to find himself next to water and wondering if it would be good for fishing, he can check it out! There are lots of lures to try. The kit has saltwater lures as well as typical fresh water lures for bass and such. He says the rod and reel feel like they are good quality, the reel runs pretty smooth, and he feels like they should last a while, but only time will truly show how durable they are. He really likes how everything is easily accessible and fits inside the travel bag, and thinks it might actually work out well to take along when he goes backpacking.

The case is especially nice since it has room for a second pole and extra tackle and tools. It truly has all the basics covered, making it a great starter kit for beginners while still being solid enough for experienced anglers. For what you get, the value is excellent and it feels like a complete setup right out of the box.

08-03-2026I ordered this item on 10/16 and it didn't arrive until 11/1. But in my opinion, it was well worth the wait. This kit has everything! I love, love, love to fish, but I only get to do it a handful of times a year. It never fails that when I go, I need some basic item that's not in my toolbox. This kit has everythign I could need in one bag. I like the telescopic rod, and open faced reels have always been my favorite way to fish. It's got a good, 31 pound spool of line in it, and three of the most needed tools. The price for everything you get in this kit is great, but there's currently a coupon on it that makes it a great deal. Very happy with this item.

08-03-2026I got this set for my stepdad, who has been getting super into fishing as of late. He LOVES this!Everything in this set is surprisingly good quality, and well made. The weight of the pole itself is fantastic, and nothing feels cheap. You can tell it’s all durable. The little tools that come with it are awesome, and so handy!The only thing he said he needs now is a bigger tackle box haha. This set is honestly a fantastic value, highly recommend either for personal use or would make an awesome and well loved gift.
