Perfect for winter. Comfortable, warm, easy to clean
this is a really nice jacket. The warmth is great for the cold weather. My little nephew is seven years old and it fits him perfectly. He loves it. The quality is great. I would recommend this for any young boy looking to stay warm in the chilly weather.
This is one of the best winter coats I have ever acquired for one of my kiddos. For years I got the kids nothing but Lands End winter gear, and I think I like this Spyder winter ski jacket even more. First off, it is way cool. The styling is perfect for the 11 year old boy who will be wearing it this winter, down to the red spider on the back.Secondly, it is WARM and water proof! There is a feature that I have never seen before on a winter coat. There is panel that acts almost like a belt. It snaps around the wearer's waist and prevents the coat from riding up in the back and exposing skin. That coat is going to stay exactly where you want/need it. The pockets. There are so many pockets, and each one of them seems to have a specific purpose. There are pockets within pockets, pockets on the inside of the coat, pockets that zip shut with a super waterproof zipper, and pockets that don't close. There are enough pockets in this coat that if my 16 year old daughter were to wear it, she would not need to carry around the huge duffle bag that is mostly full of make-up, because there would be enough pockets to accommodate all of her stuff. The hood is really well attached, when you have it up it will eliminate the chill on the back of your neck because the wind will not be getting through. The hood is also big enough that even if you are wearing a hat, you'll still be able to put the hood on.It was finally cold enough this morning to warrant a winter coat, my son was so excited to get to wear this to school! And I was happy knowing that he will be nice and warm at the bus stop, or on the play ground during recess. This was a big time mom win.
This jacket is made so well! I just wish they’d had it available in my son’s current size. I had to size up and it’s WAY too big. He’s 6.5 and wears 6/7 perfectly in most brands. All they had in this color was 8, so I hoped we could possibly make it work. Looks like it might run a tad big to begin with (it’s bigger than his Abercrombie 7/8 stuff), so I’ll put it away for a year or so. I think he could even wear the 5/6 right now! He’s about 3’10” and 50ish pounds, in first grade. The details are stunning. It’s super thick but not overly “puffy,” and has the softest materials both inside and outside. Love the giant hood with a stretchy elastic part that conforms to their head to keep water and snow out. The cuffs have Velcro to adjust them and even the Velcro says “SPYDER” on it!This color block version is super cool. Looks like a very expensive ski jacket! I wish it was waterPROOF and not just water-resistant, but it appears to repel water really well.TIP: check some of the seams. We had some loose threads on one sleeve, but luckily they were just long and not falling apart. Easy to trim.Don’t size up!!!
this is a gift for my 8 year old great-grandson. He loves the jacket! I'm sure he will love it even more when the cold weather gets here. It is true to size, fits him perfectly. It is a quality product.
I am overwhelmingly impressed with this winter ski jacket that I ordered for my 3 year old grandson. The materials that the jacket are made of are very high quality. From top to bottom there are numerous details that make this a superb jacket. The hood is removeable via a zipper which is a lot nicer than the typical snaps or buttons. There is also a flap that covers to make sure that air won't get in that way. There is a padded collar that sits inside of the hood to further keep the neck warm.At the bottom of the jacket there is an elastic flap that snaps around his legs to keep snow and air from goin up the bottom of the jacket. This is going to be so great for him playing in the snow this year and for super cold winter days
I'm impressed with this jacket. The construction is high quality, and I know it's going to keep him very warm because he complained about being hot when he was modeling it in the house. The lining is nice and soft and extends down the arms to the wrists. (3rd photo) There are lots of pockets that zip easily, and the main front zipper is different than anything I've seen - it's like a seamless zipper - a total barrier to wind and rain. The hood is detachable, and the zipper is hidden when detached, so it's not going to scratch your neck. There is an inner elastic liner that when fastened, will prevent snow and wind from blowing up and under the coat. (6th photo) So many nice little details; even the name tag area is appreciated! (Love the space for the hand me down name!)It passes the mom test AND the kid test! He loves it. The spiders embellishments are awesome, and the red/black color block is his jam. He was so proud of his new coat he called his dad on FaceTime and started gushing about it and all the features. For reference, he's 8-1/2, weighs 70 pounds, and is 52" tall. Size 8 fits him perfectly.
Really nice coat! It fits my son perfectly! And super warm also
