The outer shell has a subtle box-weave pattern that gives it a rugged, almost bombproof look. Inside, the plush lining is soft enough that my kids immediately noticed and commented on it, and the silky material inside the sleeves makes sliding into the coat effortless. The hood is fully lined with the same plush material, adding extra warmth. The zipper is large and sturdy, easy to grip even with gloves, and three Velcro patches across on the flap that covers the zipper helps to seal out wind. The side pockets sizes are adequate but not generous, and the vertical-zip chest pocket is small but useful for an ID or a bit of money.A novelty bubble compass is sewn onto the right shoulder. It’s nearly impossible to read while wearing the coat, leading my kid to joke that it’s a compass for a friend standing next to you. Each sleeve includes a heavy cuff to block out the elements and a reflective band for visibility. The light blue color I chose is a pleasant powder blue, and the fit was perfect on my 12 y.o.boy, who plans to wear it in cold weather and on ski trips.Overall, the quality is high, the description is accurate, and the price is fair. 5 stars.
The jacket is pretty well made water repellant and fleece lined ski jacket. Everything is lined with fleece and it has Velcro all over to help the little one keep his jacket/hood closed up. I have ordered a few jackets this winter and quality wise this is in the middle of the bunch. The compass on the arm works and is a cool addition for the kids to play around with. Cost wise I would consider this a good value and would give this a thumbs up of approval.
My son wore this snow coat during several cold mornings and a weekend trip to the mountains, and it has done an excellent job keeping him warm and comfortable. The fleece lining feels soft and holds heat well without making the jacket heavy, and the outer fabric has handled rough play without signs of wear. He stayed dry even when it started to snow lightly, and the waterproof zipper helped keep the inside protected. The detachable hood was convenient on days when he preferred a beanie instead, and the fit allowed him to run and play without restriction. The pockets were useful for his usual collection of small items, and he liked being able to warm his hands in them. Overall, it has become his favorite winter coat because it keeps him warm, dry, and ready for any outdoor activity.
This jacket has a lot of great features: soft fleece lining, even in the hood, which is snug and protective, built-in compass on the arm (for your little adventurers!), covered zipper wind flap, good pockets and zippers. It is thick and warm and really for very cold weather. The denim blue is a nice change from black and navy.IT RUNS SMALL, DO ORDER UP A SIZE.I don't care for the garbled non word running down the chest. I probably wouldn't have chosen it if I had noticed that. Also, the cuffs are simple elastic and don't live up to the nice finishing on the rest of the jacket. It should have adjustable snaps here. This coat is durable and should be able to be passed down a couple of times.
This QUCOOM Boy's Winter Snow Coat is pretty nice and compares favorably with what you might find in local U.S. retailers. It is water-resistant and 100% polyester. Soft furry lining on the inside and smooth performance fabric on the exterior. Removable zip-on hood and lots of pockets. Typical zipper closure with a wind flap secured by velcro tabs. There is even a functional, but mostly decorative compass attached to the outside of the right arm and surrounded by the word "OUTDOOR" (as opposed to your INDOOR coat). There's also a retroreflective strip on each arm for visibility. This size 7-8 coat fits well on my boy who typically wears size 6-7. I would say it's true-to-size. I chose the navy blue color mainly to make the "IDTALHZY" nonsense branding less prominent. An open letter to overseas manufacturers about branding in the U.S.:Many products on Amazon and elsewhere are now sold directly by their overseas manufacturers. For reasons unknown to me, these sellers feel compelled to create a "brand" such as "IDTALHZY" or "QUCOOM". These words, made of seemingly random Roman letters, have no meaning or associations to U.S. consumers. They just look odd. We get it - many, if not most, English words are already trademarked, so the namespace grows ever more limited. If you must invent a brand to sell a product on Amazon, random letters are an understandable, if meaningless, solution. BUT WHY MUST THE BRANDS BE PRINTED PROMINENTLY ON THE PRODUCT?! In many cases, this extra manufacturing effort only DECREASES the value and desirability of the product. Most consumers would prefer to own an unbranded product over one with a prominently displayed nonsense brand. Some consumers prefer unbranded products in general. It's OK for a product to be unbranded, at least on the outside, and to let the object speak for itself. It is better to be generic than to be nonsense.
