VMSIXVM Fishing Lures, You Deserve a Better Fishing Life!!!
This is a jig I've never used before, so I'm giving it a shot while bottom fishing. I really like the design, I think it will work great as a jig, but don't think I'd necessarily troll with it, although it would probably be fine for spanish/kings or maybe the occassional mahi. I'm going to use it for some AJ's, snapper, maybe a grouper if I'm lucky. It's a pretty design, so I think it'll do the trick. The quality is great, so that's not an issue... hook is sharp, weight is good, setup is great... it's just a matter of whether or not it catches fish and if the price is worth it... I suspect it will be!
These have several great attractors. First the flash of the shiny weighted bar, the color and wiggle is also a great attractor! The package came in three sizes. Based on the weights involved, these seem like they are more geared to saltwater, but I could seem some good deep-water use for freshwater bodies. They give a similar action to a ned rig, but with a bit more wiggle.Definitely like the look and action.
I thought they might be heavier
Just as shown in the listing. The metal weighted front diamond shaped part has nice eyelets front and back. The front one is bare but I’ll be adding a split ring to that for easy connection to a nylon leader. The hook is the elongated style with a crook bend about halfway down, folly covered by the surgical tubing. The bend and the tubing tail causes the hook part to swerve as the lure is retrieved. The tubing is thick and supple and should last for quite a few toothy bluefish or striped bass. Some states require circle hooks and I’m not sure this is a good option when that type of hook is required, the bend in the hook/tubing really imparts the movement and replacing it with a smaller circle hook might negatively impact the presentation. The quality and durability for salt water fishing is all here, now go fish!
Been using these for inshore for the past week and had some success with it. They feel really good to cast, assuming you have the right rod paired with it. The hooks are sharp and I really love the addition of the swivel!Overall, they're a great addition to my tackle box and would highly recommend it!
They look like a very good Spanish Mackerel, Blue fish, Albacore and Flounder lure. Casting accuracy is a 4, casting distance is a 5. Don't know how durable the soft rubber tails will be to these toothy fish but the softness does give it good motion making the fish just eat it up. The value is justifiable because the fish will absolutely love them. They will definitely get a hard look from a toothy fish.
The VMSIXVM Diamond Jigs Saltwater Fishing Lures are pretty straightforward. I went with the 1oz because I'm mostly fishing harbors and inner bays so these are ideal. The sinker and hook seem to be decent quality, the swivel feels a little less so than the standard ones I've used, and my main issue is that the plastic tubes seem a bit on the cheap side. The colors are fine, but for the material itself, I was expecting something a little thicker and more durable, the plastic almost feels like a thin vinyl and the durability is dubious at best, bluefish teeth will shred these like cheese. These are not priced like budget items, either, so I'd expect something a little higher in quality than that at this price point. That said, they work fine.
