I love this tool for hair removal, but definitely have to have a soft hand for it.

Very bad
This actually works really well, but is a bit time consuming compared to using a razor. It did leave my legs hair free and very soft. Seems durable, is lightweight, compact and easy to use. Didn’t get sticky or weird while using. Just had to give it a little wipe off when done.
UPDATED REVIEW:It's been six months of use, and the hair buffer is still going strong. I used to have "chicken skin" and it was such a complex that I always wore shirts with sleeves. The bumps haven't completely disappeared, but they're mainly only apparent to me, who clearly is more critical of my skin than anyone else would be. I loved how silky it made my skin feel, but now I have people commenting on how smooth my skin looks. The skin exfoliation you get in addition to hair removal is probably the best benefit. I've started to buy these for random small gift needs. They're definitely going to be stocking stuffers this year. The only thing I would say to ensure the best performance is to clean the buffer every time you use it.ORIGINAL REVIEW:As I aged, the hair on my arms and legs have gotten finer and finer, up to the point that no one notices if I haven't shaved for months (except for my husband lol). I also have keratosis pilaris, which tends to cause ingrown hairs from my weak hair follicles. I've tried various creams and treatments, and this hair remover seems to be the best solution for me so far.So I've tried other buff away hair removers, and they end up just abrading my skin and leaving the hairs in tact, because they're so fine. This one actually works, and with less force and effort than the other sandpaper type buff removers. Don't get me wrong, if you overbuff, you WILL hurt. It's like the worst razer burn you've had in your life.I've had the best results with moving the buffer in fairly large circular motions or just moving vertically, then horizontally across the surface. You don't need to apply much pressure at all. I'd do minimal buffing the first time to see if it causes any pain, then progressively do more later. The first patch I tested felt fine when I was doing it, but 10min later, it turned red and burned when I applied lotion. Instructions say to use creams or lotions beforehand for sensitive skin. I did that for the small hairs on my upper lip, and it worked perfectly. My skin is super smooth and the baby hairs are gone. I've tried using it in the shower with various soaps, and I feel like this causes too much friction, which can cause excessive abrasion.I'd definitely recommend this product, but test in small patches and work progressively with very little pressure. Longer strokes worked best for me, but it my be different for others. It'll take time and patience to find the optimal amount of pressure and number of passes, but when you find it, it'll be well worth the effort. I'm so happy I can stop buying expensive shaving creams/gels.
Originally got this for my legs and forearms. I have coarse hairs and non-sensitive skin. I find that it exfoliates the skin at a faster rate than it removes the hair. By the time the hair is gone, the skin has been over exfoliated, leaving it feeling tender. I tried using it in shower with my skin oiled, the sensitivity was less but results were similarBut for rough, thick, stubborn calluses? Look no further. Luxurious/comfortable(ergonomically), quick and effective compared to pumice stones and that stainless steel 'grater' looking tool (can't recall the name right now).Oh, and did I mention it's long-lasting. It's been in my shower for around a year, top off, and still looks and works like new.
It is good but don't use on facial hair. Good on other part of body
Is this the best-kept secret or what? I had a day two shave, so already some stubble, which I was skeptical this thing could handle. Oh boy did it!! Because it’s exfoliating dead skin at the same time, it’s BETTER than a day zero shave! I hate cutting myself in the shower which I always seem to manage to do. For $10 and ease of use (especially while traveling) this thing is def worth it! I’ve only used it on my lower leg so far, would like to try everywhere else. Works better while wet. Rinse off the dead skin cells every so often. Put lotion on after; skin is dry and itchy. But man am I smooooooth!! Great for my fine, blondish hairs. Time will tell if it causes ingrowns or not but dang, this is so easy!!Edit after a few uses: I am still in love with this thing - for my legs. I tried upper inner thigh near the bikini area, as well as armpits. OUCH. Awful razor burn feeling. So I will stick to my legs, mostly below the knee. Even then, it still takes 10-15 mins tops for smoooooth legs! I like to follow it up with a sugar scrub, and regularly use salicylic acid lotion but so far I haven’t had any ingrowns!
Original:I had been looking for effective solutions for reusable hair removal for awhile now when I stumbled across this little device. It seemed like an interesting concept and I was willing to give it a try.Was surprised when it was actually removing my hair, though there are a few precautions and things to keep in mind that I would suggest:* Wash (and dry) your skin before hand so that it doesn't collect a bunch of excess grime.* You don't want to use it wet because your skin is more susceptible to damage.* Be mindful of irregularities in skin (bumps, bones, etc)* Use it gently.* From my experience it is less effective with coarse hair, though basically everything is.That being said, it was pretty neat for what it is.Update:Words of caution. Despite my best efforts of being gentle, I managed to hit my wrist bone when first using this device. It had cut pretty deep, and now, a month later, it still hasn't healed right. The instructions contained were very limited and half were made unusable by a sticker placed on top of them. The amazon comment section was much more informative.I found that for my specific combination of hair, this product wasn't enough and I have since opted for other hair removal solutions. In attempts to contact customer support, I was left hanging for weeks while they "look into my issues". I have since stopped hearing back as soon as the return window had closed. It has been a very aggravating and unprofessional experience which does not fill me with confidence.
