Back in the day (like just only the '90's), mankind did not have these fancy machines that grow gem quality diamonds, but now we do. And the aesthetic value is clear. Lab grown duplicates the appearance of diamonds dug from the earth by slave labor at a fraction of the cost. Also I believe that in recent decades the level of skill/capabilities/quality that goes into cutting the stones has been elevated - that's my opinion.I am not a gemstone scientist, but I do know that my wife really likes these diamonds. We ordered the 1 carat size (that is total carat weight - so each about half a carat), in the white gold mounting. See our pics here.key points, in the context of the four C's of diamonds - color, cut, clarity and carat weight.- color: that's really just a personal preference. But a lot of folks just want colorless. This starts at "D" colorless and grades D, E, F are considered colorless. Our example that was ordered is E-F. "K" is when you get to a tint that can be visible to the naked eye in normal lighting conditions. IMO a little color can add character that lends itself to creative expression in the mount design.- cut: the shape is the preference part. But, the quality of the cut is what gives the bling. i.e. better cut makes for more bling and sparkle. So if sparkle is your priority, then prioritize the cut quality.- clarity: My feeling is that I love the variations in clarity, up to a point. The example that we ordered are VS1 (to VVS2). That means "difficult to see inclusions under 10x magnification, and typically cannot see inclusions with the naked eye". IMO that's way plenty past "good enough". Just think, VS2 is the lowest grade of clarity where inclusions are "not visible with the naked eye", and that with a perfect vision eyeball in a young eye with a range of focus way up close. So for me, my lover's eyesight is bad, so and she cannot see huge inclusions as big as lumps of coal inside. So I have it easy - just sayin' you might want to take your own situation and your own "good enough" into account in this regard.- carat weight: that's really just what size you like, for the color, cut and clarity and/or what fits your budget. We hope this information is useful toward your decision. Cheers ! !
Beautiful lab grown diamond earrings. Petite .5ct studs are perfect for a second hole piercing, except the base of the earring is so thick it was extremely painful to poke through my second pricing hole. I have had a second hole for 15 years now so the pricing is not new. I do love the built in threading on the backs of these earrings- you truly will never worry about them falling off or slipping out during dressing room try-ons and if you toss and turn while sleeping in them. I wish the mm thickeness of the backs were thinner, but I understand maybe that is as thin as they could go to guarantee strength and integrity of the metal to not bend or break and still have the threading on it. Because they are so petite these are great for little girls. The real metal won't irritate their earlobe holes, they can sleep in them and not feel irritation, and the size is appropriate and to scale. Plus with the threading you will not worry about them losing them.
These are such an amazing find! They have screw backs so you can make sure you don't lose them. I've been able to wear them for a week straight with no irritation to my ears. I'm so sensitive to everything and these have not bothered me one bit. Just get them!
These earrings are truly magnificent. The quality, brilliance, radiance and cut are very high quality. I cannot tell the difference between lab grown and true diamonds. My favorite part is the backing - these earrings have a screw on twist back instead of a regular earring back. The screw feature means that these earrings sit securely on your ear, can be adjusted easily for how tight/loose you want to be, and they dont loosen while you wear them like other earrings with traditional backs. I feel so safe wearing these many places because I know they wont fall off.
Absolutely, stunningly beautiful! I ordered this set as a gift for our wedding anniversary and we were obsessed with how gorgeous they look on me - color, brilliance, mounting. The diamonds are clear and the sparkle is breathtaking. The E/F color is crisp and bright and the VVS2/VS1 clarity practically flawless to the eye. They catch the light beautifully and add just the right amount of elegance to everything-from casual date nights to more formal occasions. The setting is very well-made and the backs were screw on which made it safe when wear them without fear of losing them. They also come with a certificate of authenticity as well. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend these earrings to anyone looking for a beautiful and timeless piece of jewelry.
Beautiful beautiful diamonds! Came in very discreet packaging for delivery and the pouch it comes with is very elegant. Customer service was also excellent when I had questions since it was a gift!!
